I'm not going to lie—emotions are running high right now. It took much more effort than previous times, but we’ve finally reached this point in the story. I know I overuse this word, but I can't think of a better one to describe how I feel than "conflicted." Maybe it’s because of post-nut clarity (lmao), but now that the update is finished, I feel... sad? Empty, maybe? LMAO. I’m just sitting here, staring at the ceiling, contemplating my decisions and everything else. But enough about that, lol. I guess it’s just hard to watch our beautiful and pure Aya fall so fcking low. It almost hurts my heart—even though I usually enjoy this kind of thing (and let’s be real, I’m still enjoying the hell out of it, so this feels a bit hypocritical). Still, I can’t help but feel this way. It’s such a strange mix of anguish and maybe even guilt. Maybe I should feel glad that I can still feel this way—it might mean I’m still somewhat sane, lol. But that’s enough of my rambling. Let me actually focus on the topic at hand: the update. Once again, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Some might be surprised, but this time, I actually quite enjoyed the way Harry’s point of view was handled. It felt a lot more laid-back compared to the intensity of the last update. Honestly, I think we needed that, considering everything that went down in Harry’s POV last time. I don’t want to focus too much on Harry’s POV, though, since it was mostly just setup. So, I’ll wrap up my comments on it with this: once next month’s update drops, I plan to replay Harry’s POV from the beginning of this update, and I highly recommend others do the same (if anyone even bothers to read this, lol). Doing so will make the impact a hundred times greater—especially knowing what Aya’s inner voice said to wrap up this update: “Tonight is gonna be fun.” I nearly puked, just like Harry did, lmao. Not because I didn’t enjoy it (far from it!), but because it’s so damn exciting to think about what’s going to happen in the next update. (I’m so messed up, I know.) Let me stop oversharing now, for real. Let me move on to Aya now. First off, the opening scene—it was my favorite part of this release. I knew she and Luca were going to start messing around right under Harry’s nose, but damn, this was GOOD. Watching her inner monologue, hearing her talk trash about Harry—it’s such a guilty pleasure. Her expressions during the scene were absolutely fantastic. I never get tired of seeing her unhinged reactions. Honestly, that’s one of the things I’m enjoying most about this version of the story. In my opinion, Aya is so much more unhinged than Laura when it comes to tearing Harry down—and that’s coming from a Laura fanboy, by the way. I’m incredibly excited to see more of this, assuming it keeps going in this direction. Now, onto the second and final scene. This scene was far more symbolic than people might realize. Just like in Laura’s version, everything circled back to this room—their sanctuary, the infirmary. Watching Aya revel in desecrating such a sacred place made me feel something I can’t even describe, so I’ll just leave it at that. That said, I didn’t enjoy this scene as much as the first one. While it’s undeniably symbolic, incredibly depraved, and serves as the final setup for what’s to come in the next update, it just didn’t resonate with me on the same level. It’s purely a matter of personal preference, so I’ll clarify to avoid sounding like a complete idiot, lol. The reason is super nitpicky, but here it is: I much preferred the first scene because we got to see Aya’s beautiful, unhinged expressions. That element was missing here, and for me, it made a big difference. I personally consider Aya’s expressions to be one of her strongest points. They convey so much emotion and depth that not being able to see them truly saddens me. That said, there are specific scenarios where I wouldn’t feel this way. The only times I enjoy scenes where we can’t see a girl’s expressions are when they’re shown from the villain’s POV. What do I mean by this? Take Lesley’s scene, for example—the one where the bully sends that tape to our protagonist. In that scene, we can’t see Lesley’s expressions or even her face. However, we can experience the moment from the bully’s perspective, where her full back frame is on display—her perfectly shaped figure, her hips moving rhythmically. That framing made the scene so impactful. For this specific Aya scene, I believe it would have worked better if shown from a higher POV. From that angle, we could see Aya’s beautiful figure in its entirety, including her stunning form and her movements. This wouldn’t have required showing her expressions, either. Luca could still pull her hair, and the scene could maintain the same dynamic tone as it has now, while offering a more visually compelling perspective. Again, though, this is just my personal preference. Others might read this and think, “Alright, so you didn’t get to see her face—so what?” And that’s fair! This all boils down to personal taste. That said, I still feel the need to share my thoughts because, well, that’s the whole point of me writing this in the first place, lol. Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, I’ll move on and say that overall, it was a great scene—fantastic, even. It set us up perfectly for what’s to come and left me with a feeling I can’t quite put into words, especially given how symbolic it was. What made it even better was when Luca brought up Laura. Laura... my beloved. Oh, how I’ve missed you. When Luca mentioned bringing Laura back to make both her and Harry suffer, I nearly jumped out of my seat, LMAO. (I’m such a Laura simp, ICAN’T.) I know this is supposed to be Aya’s route, but seeing my baby Laura return would make me so happy—especially now, considering the state of Hangoverse and the possibility that we may never see her again. 😭 I know that’s obviously not set in stone, but I can’t help worrying. Once these projects are completed, will we ever get to see these characters again? I fear that when everything is said and done, we won’t see them featured anywhere else. This is especially concerning given the state of Hangoverse and the fact that the “side story” season scenes seem to be wrapped up too. But that’s a topic for another time. For now, I just want to say that I really hope we’re not being hit with a “punk fake” here and that my queen, Laura, is brought back in all her full glory, lol. I think I’ve covered most, if not all, of what I wanted to say, so I’ll wrap it up here. Apologies once again for rambling too much, and especially for the cringe-worthy wordiness of this holy text, lol. I’m incredibly excited for what’s to come. This update once again left me feeling "conflicted," and I have no doubt that the next one will do the same, if not worse. I’m looking forward to it with a pained smile on my face. Until the next update, keep on cooking! SIDENOTE: As I was about to send this, I remembered a detail that might provide more context for how I’ve been feeling. In this update, it was hinted at in previous ones, but not outright confirmed—it’s now nearly confirmed that Sara/Aya's father group has some idea of what Aya has been up to. Yet, she or they have kept Harry in the dark about it. In her own words, she’s "scared Harry's actions will become erratic." While it's unclear if she knows the full extent, she clearly understands that Aya is up to no good. The fact that Harry is probably going to follow Aya while pretending to be oblivious is insane. Harry is so different from his version in Laura's route. Here, he's much more paranoid, which makes sense since, in this storyline, he’s already been betrayed and abandoned by Laura. Still, I’m incredibly impatient to see how Hangover-kun handles this. In Laura's route, Harry, at this point, was still somewhat oblivious (though he was suspicious of something). But here, he’s completely over the top—suspicious, paranoid, and even planning to follow Aya at the worst possible time, right when we’re at the peak of the climax. It’s absolutely insane to me. This stuff genuinely made me shiver. Now that I remembered all this, I know the next update is going to completely fck me up, but I can’t wait to see where it goes!
