A Promise Best Left Unkept - Aya Edition V0.9.3 – Tipsy (5$) tier [English/ 简体中文]

My animator kept on pushing the deadline, and I literally received it 3 hours prior to writing this. I should have posted something to keep you guys informed. I realize that I've been giving you guys less and less info in a while, doing my thing. Anyway, this is a bit too tight for my comfort zone (I'm talking about how close I'm releasing it from the end of the month, obviously).
Here are the things added:
+ 24.2k word (total: 466.4k words)
+ 8 CG sets (total: 125 CGs)
+ 3 lewd scenes (total: 68 lewd scenes)
I feel like I have quite a few things to say, but I don't want to waste more time before releasing this. I mentioned it before, but this ending (because this update does reach an ending) wasn't planned. I wrote it because I thought about it on the spot, and found it funny. The plan was to release the other ending from this path first, so that even if this one fail, it would be fine. But the other endings had more animations, and as you can see, I'm already very slow with those. So I was forced to go with this ending first. I don't think it’s very good. It also cost a lot for how bad it is. But whatever. We had to get through it at some point. I guess that point is today.
You might observe that some moments could have had a CGs. Those moments, while not important, were supposed to have CGs. But I'm a retarded person who doesn't really think about budget or time when writing. If I had done those as well, we would be at like 12 CGs, most of them not even that interesting. Anyway! Don't want to spoil or say things that I shouldn't so I will just stop.
Next update, I might have the same kind of problem. Not necessarily the animations, but maybe the illustrations. I'm currently paying my artist more so he can draw faster, but yeah… this is tight. It's kind of my fault for wanting to complete the game for November, but we've been in this development cycle for long enough, I think.
In any case, no commentaries. Don't feel like doing those.

2025-09-09 21:11:17 +0000 UTCWhat an update AND an ending... Before I get into it, I feel the need to mention how diabolical this release time (11:45 pm) was for people like me on the East Coast. However, I won't complain too much because it was mentioned multiple times how tight everything is with three ongoing projects. Honestly, I'm just glad we even got the release this month. But anyways, let’s get into it. I honestly don't even know where to start. I guess I'll begin by saying that I now think I understand what was meant when Hangover-san mentioned that the other ending was going to need an incredible amount of CGs and whatnot. It's probably because the other ending is Harry complying with whatever game Aya came up with there at the end, or something along those lines. I honestly hope that’s not the case. Meaning, I hope the other ending doesn't go down this same exact path. This path, once again, tainted the way I see Aya. I can now surely and confidently say that, in my opinion, Aya is most definitely the nastiest female character. Nasty in a twisted kind of way. Lesley comes in as the second most nasty (so far). I simply just felt so bad for Harry. It's crazy, because normally when I read other NTR VNs, I don't get as invested in the MC. Usually in those, the main characters just end up losing their girl and possibly their children. But with Hangover's games... Hangover-san goes way beyond the line and completely fcks the main character over so fcking bad that it legitimately makes me question why I’m even getting off to this LMAO. Like, holy shit! I'm usually not one to care about happy endings, but holy FCK. The longer we go, Hangover-san keeps making me want that actual full vanilla happy ending more and more. I honestly had no idea where this route was going, by the way. From the options we were made to pick, I thought this was going to be the time where Harry finally realizes what's going on and he was gonna get off scot-free, but NOPE. His destiny was far worse than death 💀. Lemme actually talk about the elephant in the room though… Aya's side of things. Once again, where do I even start? This legitimately comes down to personal preference, so I'll just comment on what I thought of it all with my preference in mind (I’m about to trigger somebody). Let's get it out of the way... I personally did not FCK with the tattoos in the slightest. I overall don't like tattoos as modifications that show the girls being broken. When it comes to showing that, I prefer the more vanillish approach. Lemme specify. When I say the "vanillish approach," I mean small and gradual changes that do not feel like the girl is completely broken to the point that she has no fcks to give about keeping appearances. I am talking about things like subtle changes in the way she speaks, getting piercings such as ears or bellybutton (I am especially a fan of this one), and even tongue piercings. Tongue piercings are hot AF when done with younger girls, but I personally think they look kind of weird on milfs, though that is just me. I also like things like chokers or collars with the cuck key, wearing skimpier outfits, and suddenly caring more about their appearance. Them wanting to lose weight or start exercising is something I usually associate with older women, but since it was used here with Aya, I found it incredibly hot and I will get into that later. Additionally, when they suddenly start not shaving their pubic hair and or the opposite, where they shave it instead (this one I personally hold a grudge against, cuz I personally enjoy em having pubic hair). As for nipple piercings, I personally do not like them, but I am okay with them. I just prefer to leave nice, huge tits as natural as possible. I guess that the best way I can explain it is that I personally do not enjoy when a lot of hardcore stuff is piled up together. I found those tattoos incredibly excessive when taken into account that she already had THAT ONE tattoo. All of this to say that everything was going good until Harry was imprisoned and we got to see the first video of Aya and her having those HORRENDOUS tattoos 💀. I damn near lost my cool, I ain't gonna lie. But I decided to ignore it because, like I mentioned before, once I saw that Aya started "changing her image" by exercising and she actually got so fit, I found that incredibly hot, especially as it showed really well in the scenes to follow. I personally want to comment on the one where she was mad at Harry for asking Luca to fck off and not record with her. Seeing her wearing that sexy underwear and her incredible fit look was absolutely hot AF. Shit made me forget all about those tattoos LMAO. Definitely the second hottest “scene” of this update for me. From here, I'll talk about the last scene and Aya's POV scene. I want to talk about these two together just to finish faster and because these two are the perfect example of what I meant by vanillish traits and full-blown whatever Aya was like at the end. I'll say that I absolutely loved the reverse bunny suit, absolutely fcking fantastic. The tan skin? I love tan skin, but that is for when I'm reading other genres like gyaru-centered stuff or when the girl has tanned skin from the very beginning because she's a sporty girl. This is obviously an incredibly unpopular opinion, but I personally don't like tanned skin as a sign of brokenness. Lemme actually take that back, I do like it, but not when used with a lot of other combinations, like in this case… all those tattoos. That ending scene for me was the most unattractive, unappealing, unalluring, uninviting and unpleasant scene of this specific update. Obviously, this is just my personal preference speaking, but when I see a character with all of these changes piled together, the best way I can describe it is by describing my reaction when I saw the scene load up. My reaction was, "oh, she's completely broken." Thinking about it, it is perfectly fine for the scene to be the way it is because it's legitimately the final fcking scene. I just think that when characters go to that extent, they're no longer fun anymore. It's like a toy you get bored of and just throw to the side. So in a way, I'm glad that was the very last scene, because I wouldn't want to see any more of her at that point 💀. But yeah, that scene did nothing for me. HOWEVER, Aya's POV pregnant scene was so fcking beautiful. It hit all the spots, because at this point in time she's at her most beautiful. She still looks innocent enough, but you can still see her slow changes and how deranged of a slut she has become. And yet, it is incredibly alluring and attractive. I guess I’m more vanilla-coded than I first thought, huh. Anyways, yeah, that scene took the cake for this update. I've been writing this fcking comment for way too long, so I’m about to wrap it up because I have no idea what I have said or not said at this point. I rate this ending a 6/10 because it genuinely hurt me seeing Harry's life being so incredibly fcked like that. Also, because of everything I complained about regarding Aya's appearance. The scenes/CGs were amazing though, and overall, I have no complaints about them. It was just my personal preferences getting in the way like always. I'm sorry for all the yapping, but I genuinely enjoy writing these comments because I mostly just use them to vent and whatnot. I hope I did not sound like a dickhead lol. Anyways, good shit, and I'll be looking forward to whatever comes next. Stay awesome and keep on cooking!
