HI-09 - State of the Game November 2025

Hello, everyone! Wanted to give a little update, seeing as it's been a little over a month now, and honestly I feel really bad about being so quiet. So, what's up?

For starters, as of now, our "Vertical Slice" so-to-speak is basically done. The game, starting from The Infirmary, leading to the end of Docks is playable, and in a close-to-completion state. That includes the Lift Puzzle which, in of itself lasts about half an hour and is one of the coolest puzzles I've ever made LMAO, at least to me.

The focus, right now at least, is kind of up in the air. I have admittedly burnt myself out with the Halloween stuff, but as of now, I am likely going to return to the Water Treatment map, which is admittedly kind of this game's White Whale.

Granted, if you cut to the area that's just the playable space, you get this, but it's still a LOT, not to mention there's multiple floors

So, if nothing else I have at least been working LMAO

As for the rest of the game, it's gone good in its own right! While I do not want to directly spoil any attributes of the game, I can at least say the puzzles that have been created recently all work very well. The lift puzzle (WHICH WARRANTED 11 MAPS BTW I PROMISE I'VE BEEN BUSY LOL) is very well put together and honestly is one of the coolest things I've ever created. I'll provide some screenshots of it below because it has some of the most environment variation in the game so far.

So yeah! I'll have more like, actual footage to share soon enough, but I'm posting this to at least prove work is still getting done!
