3/2/25 At Last; The 2025 Patreon Newswire.

It's not quite a new year anymore, but screw it. If you submitted a commission prior to January 31st, 2025, your project is complete. Thank you to all who were incredibly patient, and I'm sorry for taking longer than I should have. I'm just happy we can move forward and continue to work together on projects of greater quality. Speaking of which, now is finally the time to do some pre-emptive Spring cleaning, to Patreon, commissions, and other stuff, so this is what today's newswire is for. I recommend that MOST read as much as they can, but no one is obligated to read.

COMMISSIONS PUBLICLY OPEN ON MARCH 14

The flood gates stay closed for now, but I plan to accept public commissions again on March 14 because Pie Day. I don't have anything planned for the day, I just thought it would be funny.

There will be three slots available at once and if it goes over, then you will be placed on a waiting queue, and I will reach back out once you are next in line. Patrons redeeming awards are excluded from slots and are in their own queue. I don't know how long I plan to keep then opened, maybe two weeks, and I close again in the wake of April. It all depends really.

Being on the waiting list DOES NOT guarantee you will get to commission.

With that being said, I need to shift pricing. I know it may upset some people, but most will understand. Demand is too high with supply being too low, so in classic financial world fashion, imma bump up some of the pricing.

           Price for a colored first page: $40 -> $60

           Price for each additional page: $20 -> $30

Sketch/Lineart only: $20 -> $30

           Additional Character $20 -> $30

Everything else remains untouched

           $20 - Background

WHY:

I am also adding a new rule for commissioning. Nothing too insane, just some housekeeping to counter project bloating.

           NEW Maximum character shots: 10

           Maximum 4 pages is still in place.

I don't mind larger projects, but when characters can be complicated to draw, drawing them more than 10 times is unbelievably jarring and I end yup lacking behind schedule, I simply don't have the steam for it.

I still love doing large projects, but make sure it doesn't go too crazy, okay?

This is just the changes themselves, without set regulations or Do's/Don'ts as they are relatively the same as before. The new base commission sheet will be available once slots actually open.

Excited to work with some of you again!

PATREON TIERS REWORK

This gets complicated, so please read slowly, and ask questions if any.

We've got many $10 patrons paying for free commissions WHICH IS FINE, but I want to ease traffic so this does not become a bigger obstacle in the future, without screwing over current patrons, or making new patrons feel like they are missing out. This remedy makes it to where current patrons keep their benefits and can continue to pay.

           TIER 3 ($10) -> LEGACY TIER

Tier 3 in its current state will no longer be available to new buyers, but will remain available at the same price for those who are currently subscribed. LEGACY TIER PATRONS DO NOT LOSE ANY BENEFITS THAT THEY PAID FOR. YOU CAN CONTINUE TO PAY FOR THIS TIER FOR AS LONG AS YOU'D LIKE.

           To compensate: LEGACY TIER COMM DISCOUNT: 25% -> 33%

I could have honestly just removed the free commissions from the tier and called it a day, but I don't want to.

With that being said, I am doing a full rework to my tiers to bring more accessibility and doing nothing but benefiting old patrons, while fleshing out options for new and upcoming patrons.

           $3 - Access to polls, upcoming and in-progress artwork and sketches, vote for future projects
           $5 - Access to alt downloads, 33% discount on commissions
           $10 - Access to suggest characters for polls
           $20 - NEW tier for requesting free pages every 2 months

Patrons currently paying for TIER 1 or TIER 2 will remain on those tiers.

I will also be visually rebranding my tiers to blend them together and make them more fluid and concise. You will see them once they arrive.

These changes will go into effect on March 14th. If you experience issues once it goes live, or if you have any objections, please let me know.

SUGGESTION POSTS RETURN ON MARCH 14TH

Okay, so because of commissions, I have not done a post where patrons suggest characters in a few months. Imma be bringing them back starting March 14th, the same day I open comms. Considering the last one was Hoyoverse themed, and that it's been a while since the last, this suggestions post will be open to ALL characters, no specific theme.

A quick prompt on how it works: Patrons at $10 or more suggest characters they want to be on a poll, and in 24 hours, they are added to a poll to see who wins at the end to get the project.

Back a few months ago, I asked patrons via poll which style they would like more, on how I would take care of suggestions if it exceeds four.

After constant re-evaluation and testing, I decided to go with the Tournament format. The goal is when there are more than four options, I throw characters into their own 1v1 polls to break down the options to a four option poll. That top 4 poll will decide who I draw for the next project.

I think when it comes to what I do with second to fourth place, maybe I give them all sketches, then I create a poll where patrons vote on who gets colored amongst the runner-ups.

And that's all for now. Much more to look at and discuss in the coming days, but we'll keep it short and end it there. Thanks for reading, if any questions on anything please let me know.
