Doctor Who 6x2 EDITED Reaction | Day of the Moon

Comments

When I was watching your comments about her telling the doctor about being pregnant first, I literally said out loud to myself, "Well, it would be like worrying that you're pregnant and it might be abnormal and asking your doctor who's an expert first, well, I mean literally HER doctor..." before telling your husband or family because you want reassurance / explanation about what could happen (even if it immediately got interrupted... that does make sense in a way... and at least she knew he was listening when they finally did actually TALK about it. :)

I thought Amy said "I'm glad I missed" to the little girl. I think she does just regenerate because of being cold and starving on the streets.

I've made this comment on YouTube but as a new patreon wanted to say it again here. Series six isn't my overall favourite but I personally think it's one of the best ones to watch with reactors. It has a good amount of fun moments where you feel 'get me the complains department' or simply 'that's really cool'.

Max Packer

rewatching this series with you is an absolute delight. I don't think I have seen it since it aired. Love your theory crafting

Fenixnade

Only after she has seen all the rest of River’s stuff

Adinium

Yep! Better yet, use an eyeliner pen. When someone asks, stare off in space and add more hash marks.

Iris Littrell

Pretty sure others have mentioned this but since the intro to this season was trying to capitalize on the increasing US audience (taking place in the US, action-heavy), I think that could be why they reiterated the whole "it may seem like amy actually is in love with the doctor but she actually loves rory" for viewers only jumping in at these episodes (which seems like a crazy choice). because that whole bit did feel very repetitive (as did river's rehashing of her timeline going in the opposite direction of the doctor's) and heavy-handed for them to do

Nicole M

You should rewatch Silence in the Library two parter again with WAY more context.

Obvious

This season is one of my favorite for sure. Too 5 for sure.

SportsFanatic 23

Get ready for more happy sad confused honestly till like middle of next season.

SportsFanatic 23

Actually Amy said she was worried her kid would have a "timehead."

Carl Wilson

One thing i'm confused about -- it would make sense if the little girl regenerated right after being shot by Amy -- but instead she regenerates 3 months later I always figured she was just wandering the streets and succumbed to illness or starvation, but the canon does indeed say that Amy shot her and that's why she regenerated this thoroughly confuses me

Lord Leo

I just realized this was River's last kiss with the Doctor (to her) now she has to go meet them at the S5 finale + at the Byzantium, where she has to pretend to not be in love with him I can't imagine the pain

Lord Leo

Finally!! You've reached the point of the show where you get a bunch of lore!!!

Brendan Peters

I just wanted to say that episodes 5 and 6 of this season are a two parter and the only two parter for a VERY long time. I hope my comment isn’t considered too spoilery to be deleted. I mean no harm

Michael French

I have to admit "the little girl is a horcrux" is a theory I haven't yet heard!

Firefly24601

Canton's short but sweet "villain" role in this episode is honestly so good. he had some DARK lines. "run. it'd look better if I shot you while you're running" This man is low key sadistic😂

Lord Leo

This is the peak of doctor who

logan

That surrounded-by-enemies scene in this episode with River feels so much like the surrounded-by-enemies scene in Serenity ...with River.

Thing with Amy as a general trait is she is not good at sharing her feelings or thoughts, which all stems back to her imaginary childhood Doctor and everyone telling her she was making it up - when she told the truth she got 4 psychiarists and called a liar effectively, so as an adult she tends to bottle things up, internalise and then she makes decisions on her own and just acts on them. One of the things I love about Rory is he gets that about her, he doesnt get offended or angry at her, he just understands her and tries as best as he can to support and help her trust more, even if at times it can make him feel more insecure in thier relationship than he needs to be.

Jason

Hoping that you are doing okay after the op, Angela. What a life! Confused? Okay, so, W. W. W. D?

Josef Schiltz

Notes from a Doctor Who fan: 1) Arthur Darvill in glasses. That is all.

Rester

Moffat is the king of hindsight. You do not realize until the end how much he is giving away early.

Space Monkey Mafia

For me I always have a hard time liking Amy after the way she treated Rory last season. Especially since after she got married in The Big Bang, she still wanted to kiss the Doctor twice at the end of the episode. It just makes it seem like she didn’t give a crap about her betraying Rory at the end of Flesh and Stone earlier in Series 5. Idk this Series does repair their relationship a bit but I don’t really like that Amy never really takes accountability for trying to cheat on Rory multiple times.

Adinium

That kiss between the Doctor and River is classic Moffat: fills you with joy and breaks your heart at the same time. The thing about watching these again, knowing what's going to happen (no spoilers!) is that you can see the pieces that were placed even early in Season 4 that will eventually pay off. I won't say whether your speculation is right or wrong -- we were all doing it back in the day. But I can say you won't walk away disappointed. Looking forward to it!

Michael Siegel

OMG These cliffhangers!!!! Can you imagine having to wait weeks or months for the next episode back then?

V1rtu0u5

You’re probably going to probably be confused about the whole silence arc for a long time, just be patient as Moffat ties together Series 5, Series 6 and future stuff together piece by piece so you will only understand the whole story at the end. Right now, the tie between the events of Series 5 and 6 is a bit vague

Adinium

Classic Steven Moffat Episode... His Storytelling is always so good, unexpected and leaving you with more and more open questions all the time. One Question answered, but instead you get 3 more questions to think about 😂😂 I was so curious how you react to this 2-parter as beginning of Season 6, especially knowing what was going to happen in this episode 😂 Can't wait to see your reaction to all the following episodes. I think we will get fantastic entertainment.

Mirco Hentsch

The doctor didn’t say he was running at the beginning of the last episode before he died. He said he had been running but now it was time to stop

Adinium

Easy convention costume idea: Sharpie hashmarks all over, and when people ask you what the hashmarks are for, you say "what hashmarks?"

Robert A.

Doc: "i'm not going to be there EVERY TIME you feel like jumping out of a SPACESHIP!" River: ok but you didn't say anything about 50 story buildings

Lord Leo

Just remember: To Doctor Who fans, "MOFFAT" is an effective curse word :-)

Robert A.
