Something I learned reading comments while watching reactions of this show. Fern's bracelet is a blooming Mirrored Lotus. Frieren's ring is a bud. Frieren doesn't know her flowers. Himmel does. Himmel saw Frieren's choice and smiled lightly, and still gave it to her in the "best" way. Knowing that it symbolizes an "eternal love" the never bloomed.

Himmel had game. Watching reactions to this episode never gets old! Also you made a good point, he waiting 50 YEARS for her just to come back for the horn. A true gentleman!
