As I think I said on your album review, the Get Weird era was probably my least favourite era, so I haven’t revisited these videos as much as maybe some of the others, so it was good to see them again. Black Magic was a pretty cool video. Very Americanised (is that a word?) but it was great to see a video with budget. I wasn’t a fan of the cheap looking CGI but otherwise I really enjoyed it. Love Me Like you was decent enough, but very skippable for me as a song and video. I liked they kept the high school theme going but like you said, I don’t understand why there was no real conclusion to the story. He turned up with another girl and they were still pining after him? I don’t get it. Secret Love Song is probably the only LM video I’m genuinely mad at. Fans were waiting for this video for like forever, and it was such a meaningful song, particularly to the LGBT+ community and when it did drop, it was like. Is that it? The shots were beautiful (city was London). It has a very 2 become 1 by the Spice Girls vibe in the way it was shot. The girls looked great and were emotive. But it was just a couple minutes of them walking and for such a powerful song, I was left wanting more. The Jason Derulo bit was also a bit meh. The fact he obviously wasn’t on location, and didn’t seem to grasp the vibe of the song just irked me. I liked the way you commented on the dancing because I was like “yes! Finally someone other than me says that’s a bizarre thing to do.” I thoroughly enjoyed the Hair video. I loved the little nod to the Black Magic video with Perrie wearing the cap she wore as ‘geek Perrie’ in the earlier video. Again, I could have done with Sean Paul being on location, but it was cool the way they incorporated him. Heartbreak Anthem is a banger! Yeah Galantis is a DJ/Electronic Music/artist/group, I’m not sure. He/they have had a few big songs in the UK. Peanut Butter Jelly is the one that springs to mind. The cat mask is his/their logo which is why it features in the video. The girls looked amazing here and the fact they filmed this whilst pregnant was very impressive. Perrie smelling the rose when she has no sense of smell made me giggle. I’ve not seen anyone else comment on this, but I really think I can hear Perrie in Leigh Anne’s bridges. If you listen, the deeper notes really sound like Perrie and I wonder if they blended hers and Leigh Anne’s vocals on Leigh’s part. The electronic production masks it quite well but I’m positive that’s what they did. Don’t @ me lol! But yeah, all in all another great reaction! I’m buzzing for your Glory Days video reaction. No More Sad Songs may get the award for my favourite LM video ever! I’m sure you’re gonna love it!

Funny and a bit sad too, as they end up dancing with guys they are not very impressed with. Plus Little Mix didn't even realize that they were invited by the same guy until he entered the party with his date lol. Very high school musical.

They really needed to do an upbeat song with him, so that they could throw in his dancing in the video without it feeling so out of place. And as much as I love his voice, he gets buried in the ballad when he sings with Perrie. He sounded really good with Leigh, though; she was strong without overpowering him. It’s really too bad, because I like him quite a bit and I think a collab with him could have been killer! This song just wasn’t right for them to do together. I love the video for Hair! So fun. Jade KILLS ME in Heartbreak Anthem. She sounds amazing, and I can’t get over that short blonde hairstyle; she looks so glam and old school Hollywood and so so gorgeous. Great reaction as per usual, Michael! Very excited for the Glory Days videos!

I love the creative direction in this era. Also, yes, Jason’s part in SLS is so weird. It makes no sense to me. Also, Little Mix are great dancers but they weren’t giving that in SLS because it doesn’t fit, and his energy really doesn’t match them or the song.
