If it is one of your favorite Al Lima you would appreciate Gang of Youth’s ‘Angle in real time’ album it is Luke’s favorite band and he said in a Radio India interview that GoY’s were the best band in the world right now. Thank you again.

2021-08-14 23:11:24 +0000 UTCwhen i first listened to Mum i thought exactly the same as you - how similar that melody sounded to i think it’s Mad World by Tears for Fears and i feel like luke definitely did that on purpose because the messages behind both songs are so similar - that feeling of escapism like i’m Mad World it says ‘the dreams in which i’m dying are the best i’ve ever had’ and in Mum ‘love the fear of falling / nothing hurts me now’.idk could be coincidental but that’s what my mind immediately thought of

There is a lockdown in Sydney right now so I couldn't go for a drive and listen but i did lay down in the midday winter sun in the backyard and stared up at the blue sky through the trees. It was a vibe and I loved it. Slip Away, Place in Me, Bloodline and Starting Line are my faves so far.

2021-08-14 05:14:33 +0000 UTCok done watching- LOVE this album so much! the writing is incredible & the music is just as good. every song is meant to be here, all special in the own ways. my top 3 after first listen are slip away, place in me, and bloodline. luke’s voice takes me through so many emotions. i’m so grateful i discovered 5SOS music this year & now have 2 albums (calm and this one) to add to my all time favs!

2021-08-14 03:42:14 +0000 UTCI love that you always give attention to the music AND the lyrics, it often makes me feel like I'm listening to a song for the first time again when you discuss the meaning or point out different harmonies and instrumentals. And boy do I wish I could listen to this album for the first time again! Truly skipless and beautifully cohesive. I'm a little surprised I love it as much as I do seeing as there are so many slow songs - I tend to gravitate toward a larger rock sound - but Luke's gorgeous voice makes it worth not just sitting through but really experiencing those slower tracks. Especially when he sings in the lower register - goosebumps every time! I'm so glad you enjoyed the album as much as I do, thank you so much for sharing your first listen with us!

I am so happy that him and ashton put out solo albums cause it really let us inside their head more and gave us a better understanding about who they are as people. this album is gonna be on repeat and it only gets me more excited for 5SOS5!
