2023-10-15 14:13:55 +0000 UTCI don't know if someone has already commented this. But I am going back through all the old videos after the midnights release. The orange room where they are sitting on the ceiling, they are playing mastermind. Which was an old board game from the 70s. exactly fitting the theme of midnights. Also in the You Need to Calm Down music video. The African American gay guy at the tea table with taylor, wore the rainbow dress that taylor was SUPPOSED to wear but never did because she didn't 'come out.' Relisten to anti-hero. "at tea time, everybody agrees." From my perspective, I think she is referencing this group of people. I think in the anti-hero music video it shows that she tried to find a place, but even in the LGBTQ+ community, she was still too large. She was the elephant in the room. Larger than life, too big to hang out with, Taylor Swift the brand. Not the person. I do think she regrets what happened and this is why she refers to herself as the antihero. Also, The yellow room in the lover house is a closet. I'm sure everyone knows about lavendergate and how some people where very angry about the appropriation of the gay color lavender and sapphic flower. Yellow is the opposite of purple on the color wheel. In the antihero music video she cuts open bright yellow eggs, and it bleeds purple. (loveresque) When she get shot with an arrow, she is wearing yellows and browns and bleeds purple. I think the yellow is her representing closeting. What do you think? That was a long one lol. Love your reacts Michael!

2022-11-23 05:40:10 +0000 UTCThis is so late, but I also feel like in part since she didn't get to properly tour the album because of Covid? That era was so short lived and then folklore just gained so much attention and it got lost.

2022-04-17 23:48:48 +0000 UTCI think maybe the reason why Lover doesn’t resonate with everyone is because it’s a very grown up and happy album compared to the others (not folklore and evermore because they are in a league of their own) .. it’s just me thinking out loud tho

2022-03-16 15:17:58 +0000 UTCI know this comment is late, but did he ever watch the "I Bet You Think About Me" music video?? I think he'd also love her song with the Civil Wars "Safe and Sound" and that music video too. :)

2022-01-16 03:03:41 +0000 UTCIn the YNTCD video, Ryan Reynolds looks like he is recreating Norman Rockwell's self-portrait. Rockwell was known for painting scenes of Americana. I think what Taylor is trying to say is that the LGBT+ community are an important part of American society. The couple getting married are Jessie Tyler Ferguson and his actual husband. The "Mom, I am a rich man" needle work is a Cher quote. The dice at the beginning of the YNTCD video add to 13. When the ME! video came out, we knew nothing about Lover, not even the title. Saying "you need to calm down" in the opening dialogue was a huge clue. Apparently, you can also hear a bit of YNTCD on an accordion at the beginning of the ME! video. Also, the city in the ME! video looks like a combination of London and Paris to me. I see landmarks that look like Notre Dame in Paris and St. Paul's in London. Big Ben is definitely in one shot. The background of the video sort of looks like a butterfly chrysalis.

2021-12-29 00:17:04 +0000 UTCTotally commenting this again as 'City of Lover' Live came up on my YouTube dashboard! Taylor played the Lover album in Paris in September 2019 before Covid came and washed out plans to officially tour that album as we know. It's 40 mins and she sounds and looks amazing, and we get her mini speeches before each song we all love her for.

2021-12-28 03:59:03 +0000 UTCI know that I’ve said this before but… “Safe and Sound” with The Civil Wars. It came during the Red Era but it’s got such a folklore/evermore vibe to it. It’s genuinely one of my favorite songs

2021-12-21 13:51:40 +0000 UTCI finally got to watch this early holiday present from you and enjoyed it sooo much, thank you!! As many before have mentioned, i‘d love if you did the I Bet You Think About Me Video and for tours if you continue with 1989, it’s in full and HQ on YouTube and has AMAZING clips of behind the scenes and guests in it and I simply CANNOT wait for you to see it🥰 Happy Holidays Michael!!

2021-12-20 23:48:58 +0000 UTCYes but also the photo on the wall was the Dixie Chicks - that was an Easter egg bc they were also on the album . Also the cat Brendon hands to her is Benjamin - she adopted him after shooting this video

2021-12-20 23:46:45 +0000 UTCWas waiting for this! I knew you're gonna love these videos. You should also see I Bet You Think About Me and Safe And Sound videos. 1989 tour is obviously fantastic but I really think you're also gonna enjoy the Speak Now tour because it's very Broadway-like. And the Fearless one is fun because it's also a documentary and it really shows how Taylor was just another teenager back then, genuinely excited about everything. <3

2021-12-20 18:24:50 +0000 UTCI missed youuuuu❤❤❤

2021-12-20 02:45:48 +0000 UTCYou really need to check out her Making of A Song series. It showcases her song writing process on Reputation. It's all clips from her phone in the process of writing the songs. It'll probably be something you'll really enjoy especially that you mentioned that you're interested in that previously. Thanks for all the content!

2021-12-19 22:28:04 +0000 UTCSomeone else has probably already mentioned it but all the pictures on the wall of chicks doing with the women that was the Dixie Chicks

2021-12-19 21:05:50 +0000 UTCand there’s a few songs I think you haven’t heard: Eyes Open (other Hunger Games song), Sweeter than Fiction (One Chance soundtrack), Crazier (Hannah Montana movie), And songs she’s featured on: Two is Better than One from Boys Like Girls, Both of Us from B.O.B, and Highway Don’t Care with Tim McGraw and Keith Urban.

2021-12-19 19:14:19 +0000 UTCyes! please watch I Bet You Think About Me and Safe and Sound!
Allison V
2021-12-19 19:02:39 +0000 UTCHow have you still not listened to Highway Dont Care. Her feature with Tim McGraw. Some other droplets out there, but we will probably get most of them on the upcoming Taylor versions. Glad Journey To Fearless got a lot of mentions here. Certainly worth a watch. Story of her first 2 albums and her first tour along with all the performances

2021-12-19 18:06:02 +0000 UTCi loved this reaction thank you

2021-12-19 14:50:16 +0000 UTComg i cant wait for your reaction to 1989 tour
Mandy
2021-12-19 14:50:09 +0000 UTCLoved this reaction so much... just a note... when the music is playing the volume is great but your mic is very quiet in comparison so its always a battle between raising the volume to hear you, but lowering it not to get overwhelmed by the music volume. Just wanted to pass that along in case you hadn't realised.

2021-12-19 13:17:46 +0000 UTCcant wait for your reactions on these: 😁 - Journey to Fearless - Speak Now Tour - 1989 World Tour
Lady Roxette
2021-12-19 09:54:06 +0000 UTCThe 1989 Tour is on YouTube and the Speak Now World Tour you have to find online because it has a dvd. The Red Tour unfortunately does not have a full professionally done tour movie because she and her team refused to release it after the director was sent to jail and he demanded money from them to release it basically so there’s only clips of the HD show they released.
Samantha
2021-12-19 07:25:53 +0000 UTCPlease do The Journey to Fearless first! I know we have speak now and 1989 tour but I think the Journey to Fearless would be so fun because it’s not only a tour but it’s documentary so it’s both performances and the story of her career prior to fearless plus behind the scenes on how the tour happened ect the full video is up on YouTube
Samantha
2021-12-19 07:20:19 +0000 UTCLoved this! Please react to the i bet you think about me MV too!

2021-12-19 06:55:49 +0000 UTCAhhhh I rewatched & it’s so obvious! I suppose it didn’t hit me not realizing the album title hadn’t been announced yet!

2021-12-19 02:37:32 +0000 UTCYou picked up on a lot of the easter eggs. It made so happy that you got the "No Scooters" sign. The names of the board games in Lover "Breakable Heaven" and "Devils Roll the Dice, Angels Roll Their Eyes" are lyrics from Cruel Summer, which honestly should have been a single. I think it probably would have been if 2020 didn't happen and cut the Lover era short. But we got the brilliance of Folklore and Evermore out of it.
Jared
2021-12-19 02:15:44 +0000 UTCI couldn't wait for you to see the Lover video because I know you loved it right away. I know the album gets a lot of slander, but I've always felt we needed it because of how dark Rep was and her letting all of that go and all the colors and pastels just scream Lover to me. 1989 Tour next, please! There's an HQ version on YouTube! Happy Holidays!
KS
2021-12-19 01:37:40 +0000 UTCTaylor is always so creative with her videos and they're always a joy to watch :D And agreed, I love Lover and it deserves all the appreciation! <3 Willow is such a magical song and I'm so glad it got such a magical video too <3 Definitely agree would love to see a reaction to I Bet You Think About Me music video, and I think the 1989 tour would be best to react to next, there are so many epic performances in that! Hopefully when you have time you can also go back and watch the Speak Now tour and the Journey to Fearless special because they just show how Taylor has always put on great shows from the beginning! Merry Christmas <3

2021-12-19 01:32:06 +0000 UTCI love your Taylor reactions! The 5 in the middle of the target in YNTCD mv was because "Archer" was the coveted #5 song. I am also a huge fantasy lover (no pun intended haha) and I enjoy watching your videos for your Harry Potter Easter eggs you have setting around. Love the mug! #Ravenclaw

2021-12-19 00:28:17 +0000 UTCI second the I bet you think about me music video, AND the thug story clip… so funny!

2021-12-18 23:41:44 +0000 UTCI think the 1989 tour is the one you should watch next since you've already seen reputation... after that, there is the speak now tour because red sadly didn't get a tour movie. Loved your reaction, as always.

2021-12-18 22:57:04 +0000 UTCguys! forgive me if im wrong but the string in willow.. “one single thread of gold tied me to you” ???? IS THAT WHAT SHE MEANT

2021-12-18 22:53:45 +0000 UTCI loved this and i agree this era had such a pleasing aesthetic! i’m so excited for tours, 1989 is on youtube and its such an experience! you’ll love it
viola
2021-12-18 22:22:13 +0000 UTCHas anyone mentioned Thug Story…? In 2008, Taylor did a collab with T-Pain. It’s ridiculous and short, but I think about it all the time.

2021-12-18 22:22:12 +0000 UTCJust finished watching :) In Me! the women on the wall are the Dixie Chicks! Who were in Soon You’ll Get Better. In Lover, the house rooms represent her albums. The attic (black/dark)= reputation. The blue is 1989, the pink is Lover, the orange/yellow is Fearless, the red is Red, the green is Taylor Swift, and the purple is Speak Now. In The Man mv, she references Leonardo DiCaprio in the boat and office scenes. And she references the Serena Williams “rage fit” moment in the tennis scene and the aspect of “men can get angry, but when a women does, she’s overreacting”. Her dad, Scott, played the referee? i think that’s what they’re called idk haha. many people thought (this is a really far fetched idea) that Loren Gray rolling her eyes was referencing the lyric “angels roll their eyes” because her fan base is called “angels”. Lastly, I got really happy when you realized the meaning of the no scooter sign haha. Loved the reaction to the mvs! I’m so glad you finally got to it because of been so excited for it !!! ✨

2021-12-18 22:09:27 +0000 UTCI loved this!!! I think you should watch her last music video that is "i bet you think about me"!!! And another video you haven't watched is safe and sound if you'd like to see it..i love that song 😍

2021-12-18 22:07:22 +0000 UTCIt’s pretty hilarious how fast I drop everything whenever you drop a new Taylor vid lol. I can’t wait for the tours! A few of my favorite things about the lover video. 1) the guy is actually the dancer from the reputation tour that does king of my heart with her 2) there are seven rooms in the house because she had seven albums (at the time).
Tiffany
2021-12-18 21:56:19 +0000 UTCSince you watched rep tour so watch 1989 next tour it’s on YouTube
Zainab Alqallaf ✨
2021-12-18 21:50:19 +0000 UTCin Me! the easter egg was the album name since it was the lead single - during the shot of her on the unicorn statue it says Lover in the background

2021-12-18 21:38:58 +0000 UTCahhh so excited to watch this <3
Mia
2021-12-18 21:37:52 +0000 UTCthe guy you recognized in the you need to calm down vid is Tan France! he is the fashion expert on Netflix’s Queer Eye & he’s also done videos where he styles celebs! the table you wanted a seat at was comprised of his Queer Eye costars (Bobby, Antoni, Karamo, and Jonathan) & Todrick Hall (one of Taylor’s friends). There are tons of other cameos including RuPaul & Katy Perry (as you correctly guessed)

2021-12-18 21:33:10 +0000 UTCyess i was just thinking about wanting you to react to the lover mv!! I’m so excited to watch this <3
