And u should listen to his unreleased songs like LA he performed on a night w Joshua Bassett and also you should watch a video of his unreleased songs but try to find one of the newest videos bc sinking ships is my fav unreleased from him or not right now. I laughed out loud during your reaction to Traitor music video. “I’m not the one who hurt you!” 😂 A few things: - The band you saw in the Billboard Women in Music performance is the band that she’ll be taking to tour. She’s always had an all female band since SNL. The guy you’re remember that night was Dan Nigro who just joined for that occasion. I’m not too sure if they’ll all be there, but Haley, Arianna, and Camila (the pianist, she wasn’t shown in the Tiny Desk) have been with her since SNL so I’m betting those 3 are locked in for tour. Fun fact: ACL stated that when Olivia performed it was the first time an act had an all female band since they aired their show 50 years ago. I think this is something that is very important to Olivia, wanting her team be of majority women. - There were rumors that Olivia didn’t want to release a traitor MV but instead a brutal MV. Her label wanted traitor since it was the most popular album track so they compromised to do both. It could explain why the MV’s were more.. aesthetic than “meaningful”. Both were also surprised dropped on the day of. - You are definitely not alone in noticing her voice had changed in the billboard performance. If you watch her accepting her woman of the year award that same night, even her speaking voice sounds different. It could be the fact she’s been rehearsing and doing more vocal lessons to prepare herself for tour. I’m so excited to hear your reaction on the unreleased songs! To me they are so different from SOUR but still showcase so much of her songwriting and that emotional awareness you talk about!!

How I interpreted the traitor mv I kind of got the vibe that the friends and the arcade is trying to distract herself from the pain as she doesn’t want to be alone but she’s so down that she can’t even be happy and present which you can clearly see the emotions throughout the video, Plus jumping into the pool as if she’s trying to to run away from the pain finding herself all alone in the pool drowning in all the heartache /feelings she had as I realised after watching the video in the water was car keys symbolising drivers license , mirror Deja vu , glove, good 4 u , ballet shoe, brutal. As well as her sour composition book/journal .Her leaving through the door symbolising her letting go and entering a new chapter in her life.Olivia’s videos always blow my mind just her aesthetic is beautiful! 💜💞🦋 love your reaction as always !

2022-03-11 02:58:13 +0000 UTChey michael, haven't finish the reaction yet but thought i would talk about the traitor music video, i was also kinda confused when i watched it but then it made sense. it's supposed to be a more artsy/aesthetic pleasing video but is a closing chapter on her sour era in a way, so like in the pool you see the car keys (driver license), the mirror (deja vu), the glove (good 4 u) and the ballet slipper (brutal), there are other elements that also tie that up. also at the end she is "closing the door" of that part of her life and starting a new chapter in a way. have a good weekend!

2022-03-11 01:38:37 +0000 UTCif you listen to her acceptance speech at the billboard women in music awards her voice definitely sounds different/a little deeper and scratchier than normal - not sure if she was a bit under the weather or her voice was just tired, but it’s super impressive how she managed to work with her voice & change her technique accordingly for the deja vu performance
