Also you should check out Dominic Fike. You should do his dont forget about me demos and his what could possibly go wrong? Album. He’s kind of alternative and tiny bit of rap. U could also do his lil documentary episode on Hulu. It’s with New York Times I think or something like that he did it a few years ago.

It's an interview with the band post-fame and you get some clues into their current relationships. Plus we get the best song from the entire movie in my personal opinion, "Living on a Highwire," which is less autotune and more balanced, like pop-country rap vibes. The harmonies, high notes, and melodies are so good and catchy. Kinda reminds me of Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats," but with more drums and a rap verse. 2022-03-25 02:31:22 +0000 UTCThis was such a great reaction, it's definitely a bit of a cheesy and odd movie, but I enjoy it for the nostalgia for sure since it came out when I was a teenager watching the Disney Channel, plus the songs are great fun pop like you say! I think the other ones I loved from the Disney Channel were the High School Musical movies which I know you've watched too, and then Geek Charming, Starstruck, and the Descendants movies. Would definitely be cool to see you react to Bridgit Mendler's and Hayley Kiyoko's music, especially Hayley's since she's changed so much since being in this movie! Also loved that you called the characters Taylor and Ed, especially since Olivia loved cats :D <3

Hayley is kinda a part of the TSMU (Taylor Swift Musical Universe). She was in the You Need To Calm Down music video. A big supporter of LGBTQIA+ rights and a gay icon :)

Besides let’s be really, life is cheesy sometimes, especially high school. I honestly think their is a lot of positive things you can take from the movie… -While yes the mains singer of the other band I just wanted him to get hit, at the same time I kinda glad that he didn’t need to. 1)People are going to hate and we have to learn to ignore them and not them get to the best of use if we can. 2) Sometimes the best way to get “revenge” is through progressing in life and proving them wrong. -While the drummer didn’t get his first crush and kind of a little disappointing I kind of appreciate it sometimes. I feel majority of the time you won’t get your first crush. Plus you can always move on. I think it is cool too that they where able to be friends still despite the drama… -Now for the annoying boyfriend…I think he gives a sold example of what you want and don’t want in a relationship. However we can still be forgiving. -I do like the messages of a lot of the songs. -Plus the principal and school thinking all the cool clubs aren’t worth while, etc. because they don’t get profit most of the time or doesn’t benefit the students with their education. All the stupid things a lot of school go over. I think it is cool that they show the importance of some of those other clubs. -Teaching that the parents need to pay attention to their kids lives and try and support all everyone in the family and not just the “geniuses”. -The song isn’t in super formal attire, maybe the father is just glad he is their and trying to be supportive. Sometimes that is all we can ask for and not be too Strict or pushy… -To fight for what you believe in. In America (at least idk about other countries), but if you want to make a change you can if you get enough people, etc. At least that is how the government should be. Also you don’t need to burn down building, or destroy businesses, etc. to change rules or laws…. Honestly I could keep going. Lol…Despite the cringy parts and some of the storyline, I do think they teach a lot of important lessons in life. Just my opinion. Glad you enjoyed it.

But I love cheesy movies. And yes to checking out Bridgit Mendler. She's so good. I still listen to her EP Nemesis all the time. I'll be very happy when she comes back to music after she finishes her PhD.

It's a typical cheesy kind of DCOM. I second an earlier comment about doing a poll just for DCOMs. There are so many of them and would love for u to check them out, even the non musical ones. I think you'd love Descendants. I just watched the first two and there is great music & choreography but of course it's a Kenny Ortega project so obviously it's good 😂 I'm checking out the 3rd on Friday. Can't wait for more reactions!

2022-03-24 02:50:45 +0000 UTCDCOMs (disney channel original movies) have notoriously cheesy writing and are hella low-budget but the ones that have music never fail to deliver on bops! one of my personal favorite mishaps is Mo sounding sick af when they’re outside when Stella’s protesting the removal of the lemonade machine, then having her full voice back in the holding cell with not a cough to be heard, and THEN being back to being sick af for the competition 😭 also the entire Stella protesting the lemonade machine removal scene is hilarious because it’s clear that the sky is blue and the sun is out but they put a weird filter on the footage to try and make it appear overcast because it’s supposed to start pouring lmfaooo
