SUCH a fun movie overall im obsessed with the animation is so gorgeous!!

Her name is TonyaJae, and she is an LGBTQ+ singer-songwriter from Guam, a Marianas island, but she is currently based in San Diego. I love her song “Leave the House”! It also recently won Best Pop Song at the 2021 San Diego Music Awards! Her EP Sweet Talk is also really good! It would be awesome to see someone from my island become more well-known on the mainland! I feel like sometimes Pacific Islanders aren’t as recognized and I rarely see any representation besides stereotypes, like "tough Samoan men" or "chill Hawaiian people". I would love for you to check her out!

2022-05-04 02:19:20 +0000 UTCAs an Indian, I kind of just want to put this out there. Slumdog Millionaire has some good qualities, but it's such a backwards stereotypical look at India. It is a nice one time watch, but if you are interested in incredible Indian movies, I would love to suggest some!
