Michael Beveraggi - Custom Requests 1/3 (july)

So, the Heartbeat MV is a soundtrack to a mobile game and the video shows clips from the game and from the different stories you have in it. The main storyline is that you're a BTS manager in 2012 and you need to put the group together, get them to debut and go through their career with them. But then you also have an alternate story for each member, which has it's own separate plot. RM is a writer who gets involved in a police investigation of a child kidnapping, Jin works in a hotel and is given a notoriously difficult guest to take care of, Yoongi is a pianist who wants to win a competition but is almost physically unable to play in front of an audience. J-hope is a veterinary student who fails to put a dog to sleep and instead runs away with it. Jimin has a grandma who runs a rice cake shop, but falls ill and despite her always wanting him to pursue dancing, which is his dream, he chooses to take over the shop for her, because he genuinely loves that as well. Tae is a spoiled city kid whose parents leave him to take care of their farm while they're away. And Jungkook is a kid who struggles to find something challenging because he's just instantly good at stuff and it gets boring quickly for him, but he finally decides to try taekwondo. God, it's been a while since I played it 😭. They have a new game called In the Seom now (which Suga did a sountrack for) and it's honestly the cutest thing ever.

Thank you so much for all these reactions!! I absolutely adore Jin's voice! And Jin's high note in Crystal Snow is legendary! From my understanding, most of BTS's original Japanese songs(As in they were never translated from Korean) were made for Japanese movies/drama series, as well as their few Japanese Albums. Also just a side note, but BTS rarely contribute to the making of their non Korean songs like Dynamite or Let go. Here's a few of their Japanese songs that one or more of the members help create, Your Eye's tell(Jk helped made it, it was for a Japanese adaptation by the same name of a Korean movie. Highly recommend both versions), Film out(Jk again contributed to this song, it was created for a movie called Signal The Movie), Wishing On A Star(RM, Suga and JHope wrote their verses). I am just dropping by to add myself into the mix of people who are encouraging you to do a one tree hill reaction!! I know it's a long show but music is its backbone. I'd recommend starting with the first 4 seasons and if you love it, continue on. It has been my favourite show for as long as I can remember, it is worth the watch!

The one at 2.11.11 is one of my favorite tv shows. That was it before game of thrones, even though they're completely different in genre. His bt21 character is a llama and he is more associated with that but hamster emoji is used a lot to represent him (the emojis were used before bt21 came out) • suga/Yoongi - 🐱a cat, because he is a cat, the cat jokes write themselves, jk being a bunny and Yoongi being a cat are the most frequently referenced animal comparisons by far (bt21 character is a cookie) • jhope - 🦄 or 🐿 I forget what the unicorn was for but it isn’t used much anymore, the other emoji is a chipmunk but we use it as a squirrel. I’m trying to comment after a while when I’m not too excited so I don’t have such long messages. 🤣 The one thing I did remember to say is that rm/Namjoon/Joonie calling jk a panda isn’t really a thing, though he does compare things to other things a lot, that animal in particular isn’t a thing. They’ve made jk be their puppy before. 🤣 Each member does have a coinciding animal associated with them (not to be confused with their BT21 characters that they made though some are the same - I feel like this is probably confusing but to explain it all this message will get too long 🤣). BTS WORLD was an official game they released. The video is like, what if BTS never met each other? What would they be doing if BTS never happened? But eventually, they would cross paths. Even if BTS never happened, the 7 boys were destined to meet one way or another. They were meant to be together. They were meant to be what they are. i love them so much. i cried when this song came out. Crystal Snow is one of their japanese songs. also the high note was actual Jin's infamous triple high note!! Other great japanese songs from them include Film Out, Don't Leave Me and Let Go, which are original japanese songs in the japanese versions of their albums. u should check them out. And no, sadly, My You isn't available for download. All songs released for festa season aren't usually uploaded to official streaming sites because they don't want to release those songs to make money off of it. Festa songs are always for ARMY<3 as sad as it is that it isnt there to download.

One of my favourite lines in strange is when namjoon says that capitalism gives us the illusion of choice but in reality it’s a multiple choice question so we have no freedom or choice. I've seen many armys have answered several things already. While watching you trying to decipher the MV of Heartbeat (one of my absolute favorite songs) I kept thinking "wow there are still so many songs aside from the main discography, and meanings behind videos, and acting abilities throughout them for Michael to discover" I got overwhelmed just thinking about it. Both seasons of In the Soop (btw soop means forest in Korean, we're not mispelling soup XD) is such a heartwarming show, I love seeing them just be themselves together and enjoying their time. Every single performance of Black Swan is mesmerizing, so much that it's hard to pick a favorite. You'd LOVE the MV. Also the "JK in a ponytail!?" reaction was so relatable.

the Heartbeat video is a soundtrack to a game. the video portrays 2 parallel worlds. In one world it shows what the guys might be doing if they did not join BTS. For example V as a farmer ( he grew up on a farm), Jimin baking (his father owns a bakery), Jin working in a hotel, J hope as a Vet and RM as a police officer etc, Then the worlds collide and they become BTS. It is about fate and destiny. The whale is a symbol seen a lot of BTS videos. It is used as a metaphor to represent hope and persistence and overcoming loneliness. it is from their Whalien 52 song and used often in their videos, most notably the Tiny Tan Dream on Zero O'clock Video which you should watch in your next live stream. People already mentioned that Heartbeat was released as on OST for their game BTS World, but apart from it they also released instrumentals for each of them (that plays in the game for their individual storylines) and 3 collabs with different artists: j-hope and V with Zara Larsson (Brand New Day), Jimin, Jung Kook and Jin with Charli XCX (Dreamglow) and SUGA and RM with Juice World (All Night). All songs are AMAZING and some of my favorites from their discography and its INSANE that they made all that just for a game and don't even remember those songs exist (I wish I was kidding)

Seesaw! "Ah right, she dropped the cheesecake..." I cannot unhear the misheard lyrics in Seesaw. There is a video of the members loving Seesaw, it's a cute video. And there is one performance in which Suga is wearing a black tank under a see-through yellow sweater...oh my... My you is so special. Even the clock hands represents when BTS debuted, when ARMY was officially formed and others I can't recall. But I think the 24 degrees represents his international age? He will turn 25 September 1. JK is still such a baby. I love how clever the video is. Crystal Snow is such a lovely song. In fact, I love all their Japanese songs. Jin and his triple high note! I think he doesn't get enough credit as most people think all the high notes are Jimin. Jin's range is really amazing! I think all the boys can be actor! V has already acted in a show called Hwarang. I think Jin may have aspirations being an actor as he's been attending many movie/tv show premiers. I love when the rapline sings. Hobi has such a beautiful singing voice! I was watching a video that shows hidden vocals of BTS songs and Hobi contributes more than I thought to the vocals. I’m not 100% certain about Heartbeat, but I‘ll still give my thoughts hahahah. Previous comments already mentioned that it was a song made for the soundtrack of their game: BTS World. So you were totally correct about it sounding like a soundtrack song, just not from a movie ha! In the game there are basically different plots for every guy and you play the game like that. So the video is basically representing that. But also, just because I am someone who likes to read too deeply and get emotional about BTS lol, I see it as this concept that even in alternate universes, where BTS never exists, the boys still find each other. They went on to live different lives with different occupations, but like towards the end of the video you still see Jimin and RM run into each other. They pause and it feels like they recognize each other. Even if they aren’t in BTS, their lives are meant to cross and impact each other, in any alternate universe. And in the universe where they are able to come together, it’s special, and BTS is formed and there is the special connect between the members, and also the fans who have supported them. That’s why there’s clips from each member doing different things in different universes mixed with clips of BTS practices and on stage and performing. I’m not sure how many people share this perspective with me, but I know some that do, and I love it hahah.

- My You by Jungkook, he actually composed the song LIVE on his birthday, and we got to see the process of him making the song from scratch. He asked army to send him lyrics so we could be a part of the song but army ended up using Pinterest love poems and JK had to change it because of copyrights issue, HAHAHAHA, we almost became “songwriters” for BTS 🙄. And also, “My You” written in Korean is “My Reason” = ARMY. My heartttt 😭😭 And yes…i am sad the song is not Spotify… BUT! There is a good chance they are going to release their SoundCloud songs on Spotify since jhope’s “blue side” was just released during his album. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 It’s crazy how I also gravitate towards jungkook and zayn. I never knew the reason why, but I think your right. Woah. The power of music… - IN THE SOOP is actually a vacation during COVID-19. They have Bon Voyage show as well where they travel the world but during covid, they just stayed in a house in the mountains. It is so wholesome 🥺 - HeartBeat MV: So this was an ost to their game where each member lives a different life and different professions ( V: Farmer, JK: Martial Arts student, Jimin: Bakery, Jin: Hotel Manager, RM: Detective, jhope: Veterinarian, Suga: Pianist) But long story short is that the MV shows an alternative universe where the boys are not in BTS(has different lives). But in the end, the universe collides and becomes the universe we are living in now, where the boys are in BTS, they met eachother and met ARMYs. 💜 Ahh, that’s a long comment. Loved this whole group of reactions. My favorites were your reaction to Haley Reinhart (I have loved her since American Idol, such a unique voice and style) and then Pentatonix's mashup of New Rules/Are You That Somebody, which I agree I loved Dua Lipa's version of New Rules but after I heard this mash up it was never the same, lol. I commented on some other video but I sooo want u to see glee, idk if you’ve seen it and honestly u probably already have but if u haven’t that would be so fun to watch on the patreon! It gets a little weird towards the end but there are seriously some great performances on that show. I rly want to get into the custom reqs tier to recommend a performance but it’s always sold out!

Heartbeat is actually OST for BTS' mobile game released back in 2019; BTS WORLD. The whole song is dedicated as a love letter for the ARMYs! They also released an album dedicated to this game and man... it's so good that I still can't believe it's only for a mobile game. I highly recommend! BTS WORLD is basically an interactive mobile game when you play as their manager and help them with the start of their career! The game also has seven different stories, apart from the main (debuting), where the members are 'different characters'. So that's why you saw jhope as a veterinarian, rm is actually a detective, suga piano player etc in the MV. They have their own stories in other universe and you're helping them solve their problems to fulfill their dreams.

I got so unnecessarily excited at halo and one tree hill, god I love that show. Yes the guy who said yes to being adopted is chad and there’s obviously context but I’m still hoping you’d react to it one day so I won’t spoil. I really do hope you put it back on a poll once you’re done with a tv show it’s so good.

new rules/are you that somebody is part of a 2018 cover album call top pop volume 1! i think when you do albums from them, if you decide to do a cover album first this should be the ones, i have mixed thoughts of which original album should be first haha their 2015 original album is more classically a capella and is so fun as a way to explore a capella music but i think their 2021 album is just a terrific pop album with much better lyricism and songwriting but they use more studio tricks so while everything starts with voices and it's still a capella, it's not necessarily a great look at what their music "typically" sounds like though it's terrific. it would be a great second one though if you deep dive. hope to see the ptx album you pick soon though because my august song choice is going to likely depend on what you plan on seeing next from them!!

I'm so happy you loved Haley! I guess you understand now why she's my favorite vocalist in the entire world. The best definition to her voice that I've ever seen is that she sings in cursive and that just makes so much sense. She's effortless in everything and has so much CONTROL it's honestly insane, I wish the entire world could appreciate how special she is. Her finishing in 3rd place did leave a lot of people mad at the time, but Scotty and Lauren were both country singers and were both like 16/17yo and had some romance being insinuated there so it makes sense the general american audience would fall for the rivals to lovebirds trope (and honestly they were both AMAZING singers, hope you'll get to hear some of Lauren's work eventually as well!)

Okay I came back to rewatch your Halo reaction LOL. But yess I loved 7th Heaven as well! Bummed about Stephen Collins (father of the show) but still love the show. If you loved that show, you would LOVE One Tree Hill and probably love it more because of the music.

I would always try to find Halo and her other songs on lime wire or wherever I was downloading my songs from at the time and always had such a difficult time finding studio recordings without the show in the back.

The background for Black Swan definitely reminds me of FF7, which is also my favorite of the series. I couldn't wait until it came out for PS1 at the time and it quickly became my ultimate FF favorite.

Yes BTS WORLD game each had their own story. My favorite was hamburger loving V working the farm while the fam was away. Lol as a player we interacted and loved the cut scenes they made for us as the story progressed.
