So for Stromae, this song is a little personal to him since his father was killed in the Rwandan genocides. So it can be interpreted in many ways. It could be about a father you lost, an absentee father, or an unnattentive father who ignores you. It's really up to you I think.

Recently, I can’t get enough of IU. She is such a celebrity in SK but she seems so approachable. I’ve been watching her show Palette on YT and I’ve seen the show with JHope and with Shinee. Even if you don’t react to it, I hope you watch them because her interviews are so thoughtful and it comes from her experience as a performer too. Her song, eight with Suga performing and producing is a special song. It has an upbeat vibe but the lyrics touch on the loss of her friends, Jonghyun, Sulli and Goo Hara. Someone else mentioned how respectful the community is here. On Twitter and on YT sometimes, people can get so nasty. Music is healing and has the power to bring people together and I feel that ideal is celebrated here. And I always find new music I connect to. So thank you!

The phrase at the end of Our Page was 'sugohaesseoyo' which means 'You did well / You worked hard', it's something that means a lot to Jonghyun as he mentioned in the letter he left - it's something he wanted to hear, and it appears in some songs of his: The End of a Day, Before Our Spring and Breathe (which is a song written by him for Lee Hi) being the most notable. He's someone who gives a lot of strength to others through his music, and I often wonder if he had someone like we had him. Thanks for reacting to this

One of the aspects I loved most about Hobipalooza is the way he decided to arrange the order of the songs and the transitions from one song to the other, it was seamlesssss.

Thanks for more Stromae! So the song and video refer to the absence of Stromae's father who had very little presence in Stromae's life and then was killed in the 1994 Rwandan genocide. And Stromae's fear of also becoming an absent father himself. In the video the kid’s father is only an unresponsive mannequin while he has to watch all the other children dance and have fun with their parents. The part where they do dance together is only in the son’s fantasy I believe. In the end you can see the son finally resign and also become a mannequin just like his father which probably hints at him also going to to be a absent father in the future due to his upbringing.

One more thing before I pass out… you were saying how you don’t have any expertise in dance or choreography so you couldn’t really comment on that… I’ve watched choreographers react to BTS, or producers react to the technical aspect of production or an editor who breaks down the MV, etc. And I appreciate yours the best because when you watch these videos, you react like us, the fans. I love your excitement when you watch Jimin dance elegantly, when Jin hits the impossible high note, V’s undeniable charisma, Hobi hyping everyone, RM and Suga’s lyricism, and you gushing over JK’s runs and adlibs. Like many have said, I hope you get to watch the entire MMA 2018, which includes Airplane Pt2. Such a cool performance. Michael, did you see JK’s iconic lifting of his shirt to reveal his abs? Lol. There was no reaction so I wondered if you saw it. The Idol performance is so incredible. I appreciate so much the lyrics. Them being an idol brought criticism towards RM and Suga from the underground community, some have told them they aren’t attractive enough to be idols, the west think they are somehow manufactured, some Asian fans think they have become too westernized. But this song tells people, it doesn’t matter what others call them, they just do what they love. And the performance! Jimin’s fan dance is typically done by women but there he is, breaking the stereotypical roles. I love that about BTS… School has started for me so I have much less time to enjoy BTS. But I am trying to get our choir teacher to have the choir sing Yet To Come for graduation in May. We are an international school so we should look beyond all the English songs. I will catch the other songs this weekend! Thank you!

response to your comment during stigma: sometimes it might seem like V is underrated, but a while back there was some type of poll that actually showed that V is probably the most biased member out of all of the boys! i think jungkook is a close second for that spot though. i feel like those who bias V are slightly subdued maybe, but they’re super loyal and bias him forever without being wrecked 😂 camino, the black and white: thank you so much for your thoughts!! in regard to vocals, 2 out of the 3 band members actually both do vocals (the third being the drummer who doesn’t sing). jeffery jordan does the larger fraction of vocals, but spencer stewart also does a fair amount. id say the line distribution probably ends up somewhat close to 50/50! spencer is the vocalist on ‘the back and white’!

Zendaya’s talent never ceases to amaze me. I don’t think there is a single thing she can’t do incredibly. She performed Neverland at a pre-Oscar dinner but the only video I could find is a 30 second clip on YouTube. She also has a song with Chris Brown called ‘something new’. I haven’t listened to her album since around when it came out but I’ve always liked her music. ‘Replay’ is an absolute banger. There’s also a ‘rewrite the stars’ acoustic version with just Z which is only around 2 mins long on youtube

- At the MMA performance, the Fake love intro dance was Jimin > J Hope and JK > Namjoon > Suga > Taehyung > Jin. I loooove that intro performance of them as marionettes. It is so so cool. And Idol live is just so energetic and fun. Perfect performance. - Love Poem is such a beautiful song from IU. She is an amazing singer that I think you will like her discography a lot. In the show Kingdom, members of 3 different kpop groups (Seungmin from Stray Kids, Jongho from Ateez and Eunkwang from BTOB) covered this song and it was really really well done. She also had a song with Suga from BTS (that he also produced) called 8 that is really beautiful and recently, J Hope went to her show to promote his new album and they sang Equal Sign and Pierrot laughs at us. It was pretty nice and wholesome <3 - Stigma is one of my favorite solo songs from BTS, I listen to it a lot. It is soooo good and that high note is spooky, beautifully haunting. I cannot praise Tae enough. Also, he has one of the best stage presence, switching always based on the song and its style.

Also, I can't believe the camera panned out and you missed Jimin's iconic high kick - when he moves to the front of the group at the end of the song. And - yes - all of their songs are better when you add in the choreo and visuals - everything has a purpose and ties in with the lyrics and emotion of the song. IDOL is one of my favorites!! he’s not able to do entire MMA/MAMA performances during custom requests, because there is a time limit for custom request of about 10 minutes. he gets so many requests, he can’t really spend so much time doing super long requests. but now this has got him interested to see full performances, so hopefully he can do those separately!

a lot of people don't really understand the cultural ingenuity that is IDOL. At the time when the West was just getting into BTS, they were constantly getting flooded with requests to do songs in English. There were also those who were saying they were losing their Korean heritage and becoming "westerners" because of their popularity in the West, and so called looking for "western validation". IDOL is a response to those pressures and overall, a big FU to both the haters at home and the haters everywhere else. That dance move they do is called the Gwara Gwara, a known African dance move. They pay a ton of respect to African culture in IDOL, from their outfits to dance and to overall culture. they researched thoroughly well on who and what they were drawing inspiration from, and both their label and the members were adamant about telling everyone about the cultural influence of both the choreo and song.

Yes!!! Hobipalooza is amazing and shows a new side to him for sure, I’d say the closest in BTS performances that we have gotten to that type of energy is ugh, the cyphers, and tear. But definitely another element to it that we’ve never gotten. There are so many fancams of Jimin in the corner dancing and singing along during the set. There are a few times Hobi pointed to him during relevant lyrics like during safe zone. 🥹 In the joint vlive they did after they were talking about how dark of a place Hobi was in prior and when Jimin showed up it gave him so much energy and he was like a light to him. Jimin has been in America since seemingly working on his album. There is a picture of him in the studio with a few people, one of them being Tommy Brown, who has worked with tons of people but mainly Ariana Grande. Super pumped!

Strawberry Wine came out in August of 1996. It was a song about losing her virginity. I feel she did an amazing job of writing it in a delicate non trashy kind of way! I was in my 30's when this came out.... Awesome share Heather!!!

Hahaha sorry other ARMYS, I was contemplating whether or not to show you him the cut version of MMA2018, but I really wanted to show how they put on an award show, glad he enjoyed it! Maybe it might influence him to the iconic MMA2019 one lollll, but still, this is in my top 5 fav performance from them. MICHAEL, YOU HAVENT WITNEESSED THE BEST YET which is the MMA2019! (In my opinion). That one is like a 36 min performance. Till this day, that performance is still the BEST performance I have ever seen in my life.

Growing up is from McFly's latest album from 2019 called Young Dumb Thrills. They have another one coming out soon. They just finished touring and they recorded their last concert. I've already watched it a few times. They are in their 30's now and still have amazing energy on stage. I love that they are all about them and the fans having fun at their shows!!!! You really should do their discography. They have their own label and are amazing with their fans. Especially MTA. McFly Total Access! I still have never seen anything like it from another artist. If there is I don't know about it. They give us tons of content and lots of their personalities! I'm totally obsessed and can't get enough! 🎶😎🎶

I’m really glad you saw mma 2018! An iconic performance, honestly. The mirror move in fake love is one of my fav parts of the choreo. Fun fact, when they performed this a lot for concerts/tours, JK and J-Hope had a little game to do a different “mirror” move each performance, they’d send each other hearts or do other poses, there are some fun compilation videos out there. (I’d honestly get super confused haha, but that’s just how well-rehearsed they are). Thank you for all this!
