Also season 3 is just a fun light-hearted season that I wish was what season 2 could have been.

2022-09-24 01:02:35 +0000 UTCi dont even know where to begin i guess ill start with lifeline and the topic of his family. he mentions his mom a lot in his songs like "my mama called cauase she heard i got death threats" "tell my mom im okay will im holding back tears" "my father told me not to cry in front of my mom" "mama said you cant be mad at who you wish somebody was" and ofc the entirety of lifeline. i know him and his mom are probably the closest theyve ever been now but idk about his dad. i know theyre good but idk how good that is. the lyric "i ant be mad im not what you planned for" could be about his parents not accepting his sexuality. idk about his mom but i know his dads homophobic so that lyric breaks me. he didnt wanna disappoint them. also the way hes mentioned his "when i was young my father told me not to cry in front of my mom" and "dad said ive fallen off the grid" idk i just think its all so sad and i just dont want him to have to feel like that. also hes way to nice "i cant be mad i let you treat me like that" "i cant be mad im not what you planned for" like it feels like he just lets ppl walk all over him sometimes. one of my fav lyrics is "just cause its over dont mean im over it yet" ppl on social media keep saying he needs to move on and thats not how trauma works. lifeline live is ROUGH. i saw him sing it live and you have to take a few deep breaths. i really wanted to see you watch the lifeline music video. it was also rough tho. overall im just glad he could get these songs out and finally feel like he has some closure. feel like he was pressured into releasing c/s/smf and this feels like its him and what he wanted. im excited for ur hsmtmts reactions cant wait to see them! ALSO! i recommend watching him sing lifeline live its on Jaded Labryrinth youtube from nyc night 2 which was probaly his least emtional preformance of it. its crazy that i almost prefer the live versions of these songs

2022-09-24 00:59:39 +0000 UTCThe songs here are so heartbreaking. Joshua never fails with his songwriting, so spot on. Lifeline also made me cry, glad to see im not the only one. Also, "All In Due Time" really is THE song, a hopeful song where he believes there is still so much left for him in this world, all that he went through is for a reason in life, all his writing in the sad hotel room. Gosh, he is amazing.
