The Legend Of Korra 2x4, 2x5, 2x6, 2x7

WAN <3

thanks for the patience on this one!

From this point forward the season is amazing. The first half's biggest weakness was the mediocre-ness and predictability, plus budget saving on the animation. However, the finale is kinda viewed as four parts in my eyes. Beginnings is a strong shift in the series as a whole in my opinion. The next two eps are more buildup with this new perspective, and then the last four eps are essentially the finale. Also, it's ironic, but Attack On Titan shifts as a show around 2x6 like how this one shifts at 2x7. Just thought it was kinda cool.

The Beginnings episodes are truly masterful I love them too! I also wanted to give props to the other episodes because I find the political side of this war truly fascinating, but I understand why others may not because it can get pretty slow. I think it shows the different kind of problems that Korra and friends are facing to contrast what Aang and the "gaang" had to deal with. It's almost a testament to Aang's legacy that the world has developed so quickly between the series that political squabbles are now part of the conflict in the war against what is right and wrong. Also I love your reference to the koi fish from season 1 of ATLA when talking about Raava and Vaatu, I never noticed that! It made me think of when Iroh was talking to Aang at the end of season 2: "Sometimes life is like this dark tunnel. You can't always see the light at the end of the tunnel, but if you just keep moving, you will come to a better place."

Asami deserves THE best! but yeah so glad the creators were able to introduce the story of Wan in LoK because it really puts into perspective the avatar's stories and their purpose. It was really cool to see how the story started because if LoK hadn't gotten more seasons, we wouldn't know anything further about the depth of the avatar universe

just realised serena williams has a cameo as a fire sage too

damn we really out here routing for asami in her nepo baby war profiteer era and bolin in his himbo propaganda film era... season 2 team avatar is problematic af lmao

after ep 6 varrick has the controlling interest in future industries and asami thinks he's saving her, because by purchasing the majority of the shares he is now able to keep the company afloat and not let it go bankrupt, but really it just serves his own personal goal of controlling it. also I looove the art in ep 7. it's definitely inspired by ukiyo-e which is a japanese art style from the edo period and it is so cool to see it represented in a modern work combined with newer animation!!

The Wan episodes are definitely some of the best in the entire series!
