Super late to the party lol Timestamp: 2:30:00 this song is actually sung by Eren’s and Mikasa’s Japanese voice actors!

2024-10-17 22:55:32 +0000 UTCWell, I mean, that's what happens when people tell reactors to just skip the openings and endings. They end up missing things. I don't understand why people keep telling reactors. To do this, just listen to the opening and the endings you don't have to watch it If you're that terrified of being possibly spoiled even though most of the time, they're not spoiled, because they don't even know the context of what they're seeing. It's so dumb

2024-08-29 00:20:56 +0000 UTCWe have the same three favourite openings, no wayy!! Thank you so much for doing that at the end, was so cool to see you kind of live through the show again even if so much has happened it’s hard to remember. I def had to rewatch each season a few times as they came out over the years, to truly understand, ESPECIALLY S3, so your confusion is only relatable🤣

2024-05-09 04:25:23 +0000 UTCThank you for this journey, it was such an amazing experience!! I don’t know if you noticed, but the first scene of the first movie (when Eren is waking up under the tree and Mikasa asks him why he’s crying) is the EXACT same scene from the first episode of Attack on Titan. Which I THINK means that the entire series was him seeing the future in his dreams. Or maybe just the rumbling part?… I dont know, something like that😂 This was my first time watching it too😭❤️

2024-05-08 18:13:51 +0000 UTC1. us crying together at the exact same time when erwin greets hange 2. remember how freida reiss would visit historia as a child then erase her memory of their time together? it wasn’t until history touched eren under the reiss church that she regained those memories. eren kind of did the same to himself as a child. the attack titan knows the future but only allows its users to see what they want you to see. 3. he did the same thing to armin, mikasa, jean, connie, etc. he would talk to them in the paths at random points after obtaining the power from ymir 4. ymir was in love with king fritz; was it stockholm syndrome? maybe! she loved him regardless and as we see, dies for him and his ideals. all this time she sees no problem with that, and then 2000 years go by and mikasa chooses to kill the person she loves most (eren) instead of letting him continue his reign of terror. this “sets ymir free” because she sees herself in mikasa, as shown through her headaches. that was ymir peaking into her mind to see her love’s resolve against eren’s terrible actions;; basically letting your loved one commit war crimes is more selfish than killing them please kill them (eren and fritz) 5. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GO BACK AND WATCH THAT CREDIT SCENE! it is part of the episode! you did Not finish attack on titan if you don’t watch it! 6. the spinal worm life thingy? LOL it basically held ymir’s will and is the founding titan’s life force; when eren died and ymir saw her kiss him, her will to kill everyone dies with eren 7. levi, onyankopon, gabi, and falco stayed on the mainland where marley is to rebuild with the United Nations i’m so happy i got to join you on this watch!!!! shoutout pieck!!!!

2024-05-08 16:02:30 +0000 UTCAlso, as far as the titans being gone, that has more to do with the relationship between Mikasa and Ymir than Eren. The reason that tie is so important is because Eren is to Mikasa, what King Fritz was to Ymir. They were power hungry men, causing chaos and destruction, abusing the love that Ymir and Mikasa had for them. Ymir could never move past her love, she let Fritz control and abuse her, while doing nothing to go against his wishes. Seeing Mikasa, who has that same level of love and dedication to Eren, overcome that and kill Eren to save the world. It makes Ymir realize that she too can cut that tie and she no longer has to imprison herself in the paths, creating titans and perpetuating the agenda of King Fritz. So cutting that ties results in the end of titans, and that is all thanks to Mikasa.

2024-05-08 16:02:01 +0000 UTCI’m not sure if you figured it out yet or not, but as far as memories, who knows the future, and when. At the end of season 3, i believe it is, when Historia is putting the necklace on Eren, they touch. This connection w royal blood activates him and everything is revealed to him. In a weird time loopy way, this is when he becomes the version of himself that pulls the strings. For example, when he says he sent the titan at his mother, he didn’t do that as a child, but the adult version of Eren, who knows all and is in control of the paths, can control anything at any point in time, because in the paths time all happens at once. He is putting himself through that trauma as a child, to ensure he gets to where he needs to, to then unlock the ability to freely flow through time and influence things. In regards to Mikasa, she doesn’t get glimpses of the future, however, Eren gives her a vision and false memories of what there life would’ve been like together, because that’s all she ever wanted. He then makes her forget, only until the moment in the show where she sees them. In regards to Armin, them talking as children and through various stages of life is strictly, as far as I know, a visual metaphor for how far they have come, together. So it’s not that Eren told him all of these things as a child and Armin has been playing along, it was just visual metaphor. Armin didn’t get the memories of Eren explaining all of that until later, not when he was a child. Keep in mind, this is all from my understanding, but I’ve watched probably 40 hours worth of aot content so HOPEFULLY i have a little bit of an understanding.

2024-05-08 13:54:43 +0000 UTCI love the 3 opening, it’s probably my favorite too. I also love Op1 and 4 as well. Op4 for the mood it sets, so it’s top 2.

2024-05-08 12:48:32 +0000 UTCYa’ll already know what’s coming. For starters, WHY DO YOU KEEP DOING THIS TO US?! First, you make us wait AGES for the Rumbling, then you make us wait AGAIN for the finale, and you DON’T EVEN WATCH IT FULLY?! XD I’m not trying to be rude, I just…Ugh, the part I waited for the MOST was your reaction to what happens in the credits. You see, its not just people visiting the tree, the credits show the future, what becomes of the world and Paradis Island centuries later. It contains a lot of important lore, and when you do rewatch the show, I REALLY recommend you watch the full credits. I wanted to talk about it so badly, but I won’t spoil it. Just…well, I did say there were three things in particular I was disappointed with, right? Two of them happen during the credits. The first one is sad but predictable, and I totally understand WHY it had to happen, but it still makes me feel really down. And the second one right after that is just straight up unnecessary. It’s hard to explain it without spoiling, but…might wanna grab your ODM gear before you watch it. No, not the anti-personnel ODM gear, the one with swords and thunder spears would be better suited for this occasion :/ Also, another thing that bugs me is specifically the one you said made you sympathize with Eren more. Him sending the Titan to eat his mother. Just…ugh. That ruined it for me, personally. I’m really glad you were able to enjoy it, but I was not. For me, the most motivational thing about Attack on Titan was always the strong message of freedom. Of free will, of everyone’s ability to make choices, the way those choices affect the world around us, and the question of what really IS freedom? As Kenny Ackerman said, “everyone is drunk on something to keep going.” I fully agree, everyone is drunk on something, myself included. Everyone is a slave to something. And to me, the show’s message would have been SO MUCH BETTER if Eren was a slave to his own vengeance, rage, and hatred, not F*CKING FATE. :/ The Rumbling would have been SO MUCH MORE impactful if Eren HAD the power to stop it, but simply refused to. That way, everything that happened could be traced back to that one single moment when a little kid had to watch his mom get eaten alive, and all the choices that led to that moment happening. But NOPE! It was FATE all along! Nobody ever had ANY freedom; EVERYTHING was pre-determined from the start by the Founding Titan / Founder Ymir, who was pulling the strings all along! Wow, how inspirational! What a GREAT message! The universe is deterministic, and we shouldn’t even TRY to change it, because in the end, we’re ALL slaves to fate, so we should just sit back and accept all the cruelty of the world as inevitable! Yay!! :D Aside from these three grievances, yeah, I agree, the ending was PURE AWESOMENESS. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a high-stakes final battle in a show. It was animated perfectly, and the writing was top notch, too. That moment when everyone transforms into a Pure Titan is truly heartbreaking. That is when the fight starts to feel truly impossible to win. It feels like such a miracle that they even managed to pull it off, but hey, they’re the Scouts and the Warriors fighting together, and both groups are defined by their unwillingness to quit against impossible opponents, so maybe I SHOULDN’T be surprised, haha. Okay, now for the lore explanation. Your biggest question was about the memory / alternate reality thing, right? Well, it’s very briefly explained in the show that at some point before the Battle of Heaven and Earth, Eren pulled all of his friends into the Paths to have a conversation with them. Remember, in the Paths, time is both infinite and instant, so they had all the time they needed to talk. The “alternate reality” where Mikasa and Eren were living in hiding was just something Eren created in the Paths, to show Mikasa what would have happened if she had confessed her true feelings to Eren on that day. Same with Armin: the two of them had always wanted to see the places in Armin’s book, but now they never could because Eren destroyed almost the whole world, so instead, he created those places in the Paths. That’s what I got from it, anyway, it was really confusing, lol. Not sure why they both age as they talk, but it’s probably just a symbolic thing. Either way, after Eren was done chatting, he erased their memories of it, and used the Founding Titans power to make it so that those memoires would return after his death. Also, speaking of symbolic things, I’m sorry to say, but you’re tripping about the bird, lol. The birds and the feathers and whatnot have nothing to do with the lore as far as I’m aware, they’re just used to symbolize freedom. Its not a coincidence that the emblem of the Survey Corps is called the “Wings of Freedom:” birds and wings have represented freedom for ages across different cultures, but in some cases can also represent death (for example, a group of crows is called a “murder” of crows), or the concept of “flying” to the afterlife. So, I always saw Armin grabbing the feather at the end as him grabbing a hold of the new future, where what remains of humanity is free to rebuild the world from scratch, and the bird touching Mikasa’s scarf and then flying away as the show saying that Eren is now finally free, in death. OR, the bird could be Eren’s reincarnation!! Who knows? XD Did I have anything else to say? Oh yeah, I REALLY appreciate that you acknowledged Pieck. The Cart Titan is my absolute favorite Titan in the show, both because of its abilities and because I genuinely, unironically think it looks cute (in a non-weird way, obviously: I don’t want to f*ck a Titan, lmao). Also, YES, I CALLED THE CART TITAN THE BEST TITAN, AND IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT, YOU HAVE TO GET THROUGH ME FIRST. *Bites hand* But yeah, the Cart is like, seriously the most underrated and the most mocked Titan in the entire fandom, so it was great that it was given its time to shine, and it was really great that you acknowledged it. it can be powerful, too, in the right hands! One thing I DON’T appreciate, however, is how NOBODY is giving a shout-out to the two best characters in the show: SAWNEY AND BEAN! You know, the two Pure Titan captives in season one! You remember them, right?? XD Everyone here always crying about Hange and Sasha and Erwin and sh*t, but NOBODY remembers poor Sawney and Bean :( Like, they suffered too, you know?! In Season 2, Ymir called being a Pure Titan “a living nightmare,” so it definitely wasn’t easy for the two, and then they ended up getting captured and experimented on, and then killed. A pretty sh*tty life, if you ask me. So yeah, a shout-out to Sawney and Bean, for sacrificing themselves to help humanity discover more about the Titans! Truly the unsung heroes of the show. Okay, and now as for the ACTUAL best character in the show (because c’mon now, If Levi isn’t in at least your top 5, you’re definitely lying, for me, he’s probaply top 3), and yes, unfortunately, he never really recovered from his injuries after the battle. Levi spent the rest of his life wheelchair bound, and probaply blind in one eye, too. That was a good catch, btw, didn’t even notice it the first time watching. But man, poor guy has had it rough for his whole life. I hope he at least found some peace in the end. At least now with his disability, he’ll never have to fight ever again, though knowing Levi, that probaply won’t stop him from trying, haha. As for the music reactions, well, not much to say about them, other than I REALLY recommend you watch the full versions of the songs when you have the time. I personally feel like some of them need the full songs to truly shine, like opening 2 (Jiyuu no Tsubasa), which I personally didn’t enjoy much until I heard the full version. Also, I have no way to confirm this, but I’ve heard from somewhere that it’s supposed to be Levi’s theme song, which just makes it 100 times better! :) At this point, I don’t even care whether its actually his theme song or not, in my mind, it always will be, lmao. Also, you should definitely watch the ending songs when you have the time: my favorite is definitely "Akuma no Ko," the ending song for the second part of season 4. Both the animation, the music, and the lyrics are INCREDIBLY beautiful and thought provoking, but also really, really sad. And yeah, I think that’s everything. Considering I already said how grateful I am for these reactions and how fun this has been in my last comment, I won’t bother repeating the same stuff here, at least not much. Just…yeah, this is it. This is the end. For me, it’s the second time, but it still feels just as melancholial. I kind of don’t want it to end, but at the same time, I know that if a story is dragged on for too long, it is bound to become boring and dull eventually, and considering just how GOOD the writing of this show is, I don’t want that to happen. So maybe this is for the best. After all, nothing lasts forever, and it could all end in an instant, so we should just enjoy what we have right now, right? That seems to be one of the common themes of this show. So, with that in mind, I’ll end this comment here. Thanks for reacting to this show, and in doing so, thanks for allowing me it to essentially rewatch it again for the first time. Such as beautiful story.

2024-05-08 11:14:43 +0000 UTCStayed up late just to watch! Loved it! Worth not sleeping, probably. Hopefully you get a chance to do that rewatch. And when you do take a moment to watch the end cut scene of time passing. Doesn’t add to the story but it shows you what the world becomes many years later. To explain one thing you had a question about, The show briefly explains that Eren talks to everyone about the future and erases their memories. Memories that only came back after Eren was dead because that is what he decided to do with the power of Ymir . I’m unsure if these conversations happen at different times as they’re aging or if Eren just decided to use his power to show themselves as children and age up in the one long conversation they have.
