2024-06-16 22:00:45 +0000 UTCLoved the reaction, as always! Thank you :) Felt exactly the same after I heard it the first time, it's Art! His work has always felt like art to me, It feels like it needs to be in a museum for more people to appreciate and also for preservation lol. So happy for him and also so proud. P.S I don't know if you'd like to see it with us but there is a video on Bangtan Tv on Youtube of Jimin and RM discussing the album and the thought behind the album. I loved watching it and I think you would too :)

2024-06-10 11:03:44 +0000 UTCHi, thank you for sharing your reaction! Really enjoyed watching. Wanted to recommend Balming Tiger's music/music videos. Their creative director was the creative director for this album (he met RM when RM collabed with Balming Tiger on "Sexy Nukim") and Balming Tiger's mv's have a very similar vibe to the video for Lost! So fun, so different, so entertaining. Their music's great too :) I think you would like it.

2024-06-09 20:29:29 +0000 UTCI'm also currently reading The Midnight Library! It is an amazing book and I can totally get how RM was inspired by the story!

2024-06-09 07:47:12 +0000 UTCI absolutely ADORE this album. If I had all the right words to describe how much I would write like a hundred paragraphs. When I listened to it and read the lyrics I thought about this one phrase from a book that compares being free with being lost, and then hearing you talk about it as well reminded me of it once again. ''The rules, like streets, can only take you to known places. Underneath the grid is a field --it was always there-- where to be lost is never to be wrong, but simply more'' by Ocean Vuong, from On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous

2024-06-09 07:46:57 +0000 UTCI just finished watching your reaction. I love the way you break down each song and tie them together. I hope writing this album was cathartic for RM and that he felt freer afterwards. It must have been such a difficult time for RM, especially after the Festa dinner of 2022. From military enlistment to expectations of not just being an idol but representing South Korea culturally. And I can’t believe the amount of hate he and the boys still receive. I’m reading The Midnight Library and some ARMY had suggested the MV reminded them of the book. It’s about examining how certain decisions in you life affect the outcome of your life and it seems RM was visiting alternate realities of his various decisions. Anyway, you provided so much thought-provoking insights. Thank you! 💜

2024-06-08 21:37:27 +0000 UTCI’ve been waiting for this! I’ve been watching BangbangCon and now at my niece’s graduation! Will watch for sure later but I LOVE THIS ALBUM! I’m so happy for Joon that he was able to create this! I’ve been watching your past album reactions and you are so thoughtful about each album. Thank you, Michael!

2024-06-08 12:56:07 +0000 UTCThe other comments said it so well, that I don't have much to add - besides seconding the fact that the only info we have about this album is the pre-recorded interview with Jimin before they both enlisted. He talked a lot in that about the pressure of being the leader of BTS and how this was a break from it to connect back with himself. As ARMY, we're always supporting the guys SO THAT they can be in a place in their career where they can do whatever they want - regardless of what's "trendy" or what will do well on the charts (though if they want to do that, that's cool too). As you say, you can't separate art from RM... he really just lives and breathes it. The way he communicates his complex mind is incredible. He was originally suppost to enlist in March/April 2023, but pushed back his enlistment time until December just so that he could complete this project - and I'm so thankful that he was able to take those extra 9 months to gift us this album.

2024-06-08 09:26:50 +0000 UTCohhh yes i think he will love this one! it was such an amazing concept i'm so glad they made a video with one of the members where joon could also explain each song and the concept of the album to someone he feels comfortable with </3

2024-06-08 09:00:51 +0000 UTCSo glad you have joined us in the hoo hoo hoo hoo ridah club! Namjoon's ability to turn his personal experiences and documenting his thoughts, moods, and moments into something universal at every point along his evolution is so special. He's relatable, while also being inspiring and motivating, and I know that ability has been present in him since the beginning of his career. I always think, with every solo or group project, that it will be hard for him to top it. And with RPWP, I think I'm fully understanding that it's not about topping anything - each project has been perfect and its best for the moment it was born in, and Namjoon the human is continually evolving his understanding of himself and the world, evaluating his role in it and who he surrounds himself with, and where he's going next. And he's ALWAYS going forward, even if forward looks a little twisty or he's having to pause and rest for a bit. Even though sonically he's always exploring, there's that consistency you noted about his morals and these themes that he is always consistently exploring. I'm so grateful that he decided to be an artist when he could have done a hundred other things that he'd be good at. I love this project so much, and I can't wait to see where he takes us next once his military service is done.

2024-06-08 04:09:18 +0000 UTCI am obsessed with this album, it is a vibe while i am working and in the car. So proud of RM for letting himself flow freely and release things that he was burdening his mind with. I cannot imagine how hard it has been for him being in this industry for so long and having to grow up through in a stilted light with barriers and battling between the pedestal he was put upon, the group that he was responsible for and the industry and political expectations of him to the rest of the world. He is human and lost like the rest of us. 👏

2024-06-08 03:42:25 +0000 UTCI got so happy when I saw this notification! I simply LOVE this album, it's amazing how Namjoon's works always get better, he's a true ARTIST. And I second the comments here saying you should watch Mini & Moni Music on YouTube, Namjoon shows the album to Jimin and explains a lot of the process of making it. We got to see him in a very deep level.

2024-06-08 02:32:21 +0000 UTCRPWP is such an amazing album and like Jimin said in the MiniMoni video (which you should watch!!!!) he really did lay all of his feelings out there on this project and i’m so proud of him for doing so, it’s such a special experience 🥲

2024-06-08 02:31:51 +0000 UTCYou're so real for wanting a piece of his brain. Man, I just love how you just GET them, every input you had here was a delight. Highly HIGHLY recommend you to watch the Mini & Moni Music video on BangtanTV where Jimin listens to the album and they talk about it. Especially since Namjoon is in the military so he can't really do interviews right now for this project, so that video shows and inside of the process on how it was made and his feelings. It's to precious to be cut down so I'll leave the link here: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=minimoni Also, I love your Levi shirt and your RM funko.

2024-06-08 02:31:38 +0000 UTCThis whole album is just sooooo good. I love it so much, and yet somehow every time I listen to it I love it even more. My favorite track is Around the World in a Day. For the Come Back to Me MV - my interpretation mixed with a somewhat general consensus among Army: Namjoon is very interested in the idea of a multiverse/alternate universes/alternate timelines and has referenced these ideas multiple times in other content. In the MV he is walking through different points in time of different versions of what his life could be or could have been. Is he a young single guy who likes to party? A husband and father? A guy in a toxic relationship? A son disappointing his parents? Some of them? None of them? Midway through the MV he meets his guide, Spring. There are no hints of a romantic relationship between them - they never touch or seem overly familiar with each other. I think she is meant to be his guide/companion on his journey. I really appreciate how even though he has led such a unique life he still finds ways to portray concepts that can be universal. I know I personally have also wondered what other alternate versions of me could have existed if I had made a different decision somewhere along the way. If I had gone to a different college and never met the guy I dated for 5 years would I have met someone else? Would I be married? A mother? Living in a different state? I think the MV did a great job of portraying thoughts or even fears that everyone has had at some point. Also, get ready to find yourself suddenly singing “she a pro ridah, hoo hoo hoo hoo, ridah” out of nowhere. It’s impossible to control.

2024-06-08 02:31:21 +0000 UTCThe album flows so well yet incorporates so many different textures and sounds. It really feels like Namjoon was able to freely express himself here. You can feel his hip hop roots but also the variety of influences from the eclectic mix of artists he listens to and surrounds himself with. It is an album that is unabashedly his...pure Namjoon.

2024-06-08 02:28:52 +0000 UTCSo glad you loved it as much as I do. It gets even better with each listen. I think the album arrangement it perfect. There is a video you should check out with him letting Jimin listen to his album and giving some insight to it. Called Mini & Moni Music on BANGTANTV on YT.

2024-06-08 02:22:23 +0000 UTCI remember when Indigo came out I wasn't sure how it was going to top mono for me and it did and then Right Place, Wrong Person managed to do it again. He really manages to capture such a human experience and turn it into song.
