2024-07-01 19:59:53 +0000 UTCi’m pretty sure gracie had 2 unreleased songs that got popular on tik tok and fans really wanted them released and close to you was one of them. it’s not necessarily chasing a hit. i mean the snippet that was released obviously blew up and so they knew the song could be a potential hit after that and i think it’s just a great way for things to work out. she kinda of gets a hit from that song while also making fans that wanted it released happy. it’s also a very old song probably from before she worked w aaron. this is probably my least favorite album of hers tbh. i only enjoyed 3 songs which were i love you, im sorry, i knew it, i know you and close to you. good luck charlie is also cute i’ll probably grow to love that one. it’s a little disappointing bc i found myself enjoying almost every track on her older albums however i definitely didn’t connect w the good riddance bonus tracks. who knows good riddance did have to grow on me a ton.
