When Peyton said she would've done anything for him to say her, I think it took that for brooke to realize "wait ... I wouldn't" and that's when she knew her feelings were no longer what she thought they were.

I think the scene in the hospital with Brooke & Peyton can go like this—as Peyton is telling Brooke about wishing it was her he said was next to him, I think Brooke in that moment realized she herself didn't feel that way when it came to Lucas. It gave her the realization that she doesn't love Lucas bc she doesn't wish she was the girl he wants next to him. And Peyton does. If that makes sense. It does in my head 😂 but sometimes words come out different written down.

I love the way they mirror Lucas being the cause of the team's loss during their previous season (basketball season, not tv season that is) with him making the shot and winning it all. It's the same shot and he even falls to his knees the same way, but this time it's in victory instead of defeat. And of course the obvious parallel from the first episode that finally makes Lucas realize that Peyton is his person. So good! And this is very random, but I love it so much because it's just so Bevin. During the scene with the nurse, after Haley goes with the doctor and the other girls insult the nurse, Bevin says "Thank you" so sweetly. She's always just so unbothered.

So glad you commented on the song that was playing in the background of the confetti scene. It’s called “Heartbeats” by José González. I think it makes the whole scene. ❤️

I honestly can’t believe karen forgot that dan kissed her without consent and she smashed his window? he literally tried to ruin his sons marriage several times …. he blackmailed lucas into staying at his house and when that didn’t work out he refused to pay for his medication… like that’s his son ? idk i’m so pissed at the “he is not acting up and is treating the people he tried to sabotage (3 seasons long!!!) with respect. his redemption arc is coming!” narrative i feel coming on in this show 😭😭😭 sorry for the rant I HATE this character he is just infuriating! now more than when they leaned into the whole villain thing..🥴

We have seen him try to be better and I think it's worked a bit but I feel all of what he's done is out of guilt for killing his brother after he found out kieth didn't try to kill him. Nathan is the thing that I think proves there's a soul (a darken soul but a soul nonetheless) in Dan.
