She shot the beginning of the video for Spirit again in honor of Kobe Bryant, as he passed away in January of the year it was released. The choir was in purple and her in gold.

2024-09-18 15:30:40 +0000 UTCBlue Ivy is a Grammy winner because of Brown Skin Girl😂 Also, I love how Beyonce almost always gives us new music right at the end of the film/documentary, she makes sure we stay there to read the credits🤣 The album is called “The Gift” (as in her gift to Africa) and the last song is “Black Parade”

2024-09-18 13:40:14 +0000 UTCI cry every time I watch this… i’m glad you said it at the end: how the message is individual and what being a king really means is defined by each person. it’s such a compelling message and the storytelling through the songs make it such a cohesive project. I still stream this album often... “already”, “my power” and “water” always hit on playlists 🙂↕️ I also feel like these visuals are some of the best in modern pop music that we’ve ever been given by any artist. she is miles ahead with everything going on… cinematography, choreography, hair, makeup and all these outfits😭 such a treat to take it all in like this. I’m so glad you spoke on it many times during the reaction! fun fact: I remember you talking about seeing the renaissance tour movie and the song blue ivy was coming out to on stage was “my power” and after that it’s “black parade” it’s crazy to see how much she’s grown when she did her choreo live on stage and people all over the world cheering for her.. and then going back to the visuals from black is king 🥹 “brown skin girl” also made blue a grammy winner (best music video) at 9 YEARS OLD. this project was huge I hope more people give it a listen and would get into the story being told, especially in todays political climate.. it was great rewatching alongside you💕

Also I don't use Apple Music but the actual album name is The Lion King: The Gift on Spotify so you can stream all the songs there (I personally put all the actual songs in a playlist to avoid the skits and interludes on my relistens)
