I feel the same! I never could get behind her plan to essentially trap Colin without telling him the truth about the baby until it was too late for him to decide what he wanted for himself. I understood that she was in a very difficult situation but he didn’t deserve to be manipulated by a woman who didn’t really love him, but just wanted security and to save her name from scandal.

As far as I know, Lord Featherington is definitely dead. The bookies aren't getting the house. The Featheringtons only had daughters, so a male heir from the extended family will inherit. Thanks for the review! For anyone else who enjoyed Bridgerton, I really like its contemporary Sanditon on PBS. Sanditon was Jane Austen's unfinished novel, and I love how they fleshed it out for TV. It's available on Prime.

2024-11-13 15:10:19 +0000 UTCOkay, finally finished and wow. I am so happy you chose to watch Bridgerton. It is such an incredible show in so many ways. I think the main beauty of it is the family. The Bridgertons and their bond and love and care for one another is so special. The different relationship dynamics between the different siblings. How different they all are from one another but how they all really have each others backs is so special. Violet is such an incredible mother too. She really sees and understands each one of her children. She is a very vital part of each one of them. I love season one, even though it is probably my least favourite season, I love them all so much that it can be blurred at times. I am so excited for you to watch season 2, and even more for season 3. but truly, I am most excited for Queen Charlotte. You have picked up a lot of wonderful things, you noticing Pen to be lady Whistledown was amazing and the Colin love is perfect. He is my favourite Bridgerton brother, even though I have a big spot in my heart for all 3 older brothers. enjoy every moment of the next 3 seasons

A lot of people hate Penelope for throwing her under the bus, whether she did it selfishly or not, it was still messed up for Marina to trtrap an unwhitting guy.

2024-11-12 06:28:31 +0000 UTCTo answer your questions regarding Penelope as Lady Whistledown: First, yes there are definite hints that Penelope is Whistledown throughout the season that aren't too obvious on first watch but definitely pop on subsequent viewings. And second, Penelope wrote about her own family and basically brought public shame on them because she's pretty unbiased about reporting on her own family. They are viewed as pretty embarrassing by the rest of society and so Penelope reports that. She doesn't sugarcoat it to protect herself. She's a pretty unbiased, factual reporter about the goings on in society. The one area in which she does show bias is in her love for the Bridgerton's - not just Colin and Eloise, but that whole family. She clearly tried to protect Marina's secret as long as she could and tried to get Marina to pick anyone else but once Penelope knew Marina was going to escape with Colin, trap him in a loveless marriage, and bring shame upon the whole Bridgerton family for marrying a woman pregnant out of wedlock, she had to choose to protect Marina and the Featherington's or the Bridgerton's. She chose the Bridgerton's even if it meant tanking her own family's standing in society (it probably also helped that the Bridgerton's actually had done nothing wrong and her family had).

Meaning that any unmarried Featherington ladies, including the mom, will now be subject to the whims of whomever becomes the new Lord Featherington.

I personally did not like this season (it’s all love to those who did, but I was not compelled sadly) however I did enjoy season 2 and I LOVED Queen Charlotte so much, but that’s probably because it was a more serious drama type spinoff and I love to be a sad serious bitch sometimes 🙂↕️
