So many stories with magic involved make everything so...how do I put it...whimsical? Fairy-tale-like? Too elegant or "glittery" to be believable? Not here! Magic fights are still fights - and they are BRUTAL. Magic is used for combat EXACTLY like how real people would use it for combat in real life. There's no time for incantations or wand waving or anything the like: you just gotta go all in and hope you survive. Gotta love the cold, hard realism of this show!

2025-03-10 19:07:22 +0000 UTCOkay, just watched this, and...wow. Just...wow. Speechless. I usually have a lot to say about things that I enjoy, but...not this time. Goddamn. What an awesome ending to the first season of an awesome show. Literally the only thing that comes to my mind that I explicitly want to say is that the whole thing with Jinx (I'm choosing to call her Jinx now, too; Powder is long gone) shooting that missile at the Council's tower, literally JUST as they ALL agreed to peace, just...wow. That left me devastated. Things are off to a REALLY bad start for Season 2, lmao (from the CHARACTERS' perspective, btw: the show itself KICKS ASS)! Can't wait to see what comes next!

2025-03-10 00:10:24 +0000 UTCyou hating on silco while watching made me so sad 😭 silco went to shoot vi (which is what made jinx unconsciously shoot silco, which she obviously very much did NOT want to do) because vi was HURTING her. Vi just fundamentally does NOT understand jinx, vi kept telling her to think of all these people which was sending her into one of the worst episodes we see from her, i mean vi WAS srsly hurting her in that moment even if unintentionally. so silco reaching for the gun to shoot vi was him just trying to protect jinx in the only way he knew how. silco DOES very authenticly and very genuinely LOVE jinx. i also specifically love how we go from in episode 5 where he tells her “jinx is perfect” (which is basically saying the version of you i’ve known, the broken, violent version, is who you are, and who i think is perfect) to the finale episode 9 when he says “don’t cry, you’re perfect”. This change in saying JINX is perfect vs in his final moments saying YOU’RE perfect, is the most beautiful sentiment i’ve ever seen especially thinking about how that’s all she’s ever wanted to hear from like…anyone. him saying not just jinx, who is useful for ME, is perfect, but that ALL of who she is perfect, ESPECIALLY right after she shot him and killed him, is the most loving thing he could do for her in that moment. He’s saying even in this, even in killing me, i love you, i would never forsake you, you are perfect. i love silco and jinx 😭😭 (also i thought it was brilliant that in her (jinxes) sadness and devastation, and loss, and anger about silcos death she decides to do what she thinks would be the best last gift and testament to silco in that moment, which is bombing the councils tower. )

2025-03-09 23:39:08 +0000 UTCso fucking hyped!!!! i’ll be home from work in like 30 minutes give or take so im excited to get into this then! i will say tho ive only watched the s1 finale like… 3 times overall when i have watched every other episode from s1 & s2 like 10+ times lol bc its so mentally draining on me. the jinx & silco scene at the dinner tea (?) party just really gets me more than i think any other scene in any show ever rly has. the first 2 times i watched it i couldn’t stop sobbing for like 2 hours straight afterwards and my days were just wrecked 😭 hopefully watching it with u will go a little better 😀🥲
