An editor said he did about 99% of the drumming with only a few close ups using a drum double. I feel like you can really tell as well and that's what makes the movie feel so genuine. I am also one of the insane people who do watch this movie at least once a year, it is 100% in my top 3. Loved the reaction as always!!

The camera work in the end scene where it switches back and forth because Fletcher conducting and Andrew drumming is insane and it seems so simply but damn is it effective because that's exactly what your head would be doing like you're watching a tennis match. It's definitely an intense film but something about it makes me absolutely NEED to watch is at least once a year. Top 10 movies ever imo. So glad you watched this. I think everyone should at least once. Don't even get me STARTED on the character analysis on Fletcher and Andrew because UGH it's so well done.

It is so intense and so stressful and so upsetting and you hate the end but also part of you kind loves it, you hate that you love it. it is so incredibly well acted, so well directly and shot and just, everything. it makes you think, and that is what good art should do.
