Hey Michael I’ve been watching for a while and love all your reactions 💕 if you have any time maybe give Noah Cyrus a chance I think you would love her work!

Amazing reaction!! Loved your analysis of all the songs. I would highly recommend watching her Apple Music interview after you watch the music videos, it was really insightful and interesting watching her talk about the process.

Such a great reaction!! (as always) Lorde put her heart and soul into this album. She has said in a couple interviews that she was nervous to put this out because of how brutally honest it is. There were a few songs it took her almost a year to write because of the vulnerability. She truly is one of the best artists we have. No one matches her in lyricism or the ability to create a beautifully cohesive piece of art. ❤️❤️

I loved listening to this with you!!

51:36 Actually in her interview with Therapuss, she said "Clearblue" is about having sex wihout using condom. So when she says "bare in the throes" is her way of saying that. The broken blood line part: "There's broken blood in me, passed through my mother from her mother down to me" is her way to say that not only her impulses, desires and the urge for adrenaline are familiar, as are human. And all of us as human beings are reckless, and again, in this song she is not saying that this is right, wrong, people should do this or shouldn't do this, but just saying that it happens and again it is human, as long as you take responsibility and are aware of the consequences. Which she is, and besides, since the test came back negative, she would have liked to have kept the test, precisely to remind herself of the message she discovered through the experience. But, your interpretation is interesting too.

31:12 she's descovering herself as gender fluid. She's the man of the year in the song, so when she sings: "let's hear it for the man of the year" is that masculine side of her that she's discovering.

Mercury was historically used in thermometers and barometers. So if mercury is rising, it could mean a rise in temperature or pressure (such as blood pressure). These days both barometers and thermometers are mostly digital. If you see a thermometer with red liquid inside, its most likely alcohol instead of mercury for safety reasons, but its much lighter so you have to 'reset' it by shaking the liquid to the bottom. sorry to get on a tangent (I'm a chemistry major lol)!
