I absolutely love these films. For me this is the weakest of the 3, each one is better than the next. These are definitely not stand alone films and agree that it's hard to review them separately. There are so many questions that don't get answers to until later on. Looking forward to your opiniond once you have watched all 3.

The books are soooo good though. Because they have time to extend and let everything truly have more mystery. It’s easier to learn with Thomas about the world he’s forgotten in the books.

YES. i fixed my patreon and i am HERE. FINALLY.
okay i know im late and everyone has probably already mentioned it, but most of your questions will be answered if you watch the next movies lol. i love this series because it’s just fun non stop action, but if it’s any consolation the books are even more confusing than the movies and i still don’t 100% understand everything about them.

Of all the YA dystopias that threw their hat in the ring after The Hunger Games, this one felt like a mix of boring and nonsense. I don't think I ever made it past the first movie, but maybe I'll watch along if you guys cover more of them. The Divergent series was always the cotton candy nonsense of dystopias. Absolutely ridiculous but in the way that felt more fun than anything.
None of them really hold up next to The Hunger Games though.
