FIT is not about being scared to commit, it is about how it feels to break his heart, becasue she was with someone else when he finally told her. It's the sad sister to SHSI, which is the angry reaction to that. she talks about how it's too late and she can't feel like that again. She was not scared to commit, she was committed to someone else. And then Shameless, Liar and BKOB are about how her feelings for Shawn won out and she ended that relationship... Her comments on the songs and the order of things are pretty clear.

When I saw you did Romance, I decided this was the time to follow you on here and I am so happy I did! I felt so. many, emotions. throughout this album and it was so great to watch you go through them as well. I loved how genuine this was. PLEASE watch as many of her live performances of these songs as you can. You are going to absolutely love them... Her live performance of First Man will break you all over again, in a good way.

You need to check the live performances though, it might be hard to believe but they're even better when you can see her emotion and passion while she's on the stage. Also seeing as you have done shawn and camila back to back the "their story" video on YouTube would help you fill in the timeline of them getting together if you still have any blank spots 😄

Imagine him writing Illuminate and being sad and tgen writing SM and being sadder but not doing anything about it till she was with someone else for real? He’d have me pissed off too 🙈 Easy isn't about Shawn though, she wrote it way before they got together, so it doesn't really match Used to This. If anyhting, his dithering and distancing while he was figuring his stuff out was what made her feel hard to love probably.

2021-02-15 13:16:00 +0000 UTCThe description matches shawn a lot too but I think for ex when she says "shy singer" she follows it with "most of the time unless it's him and i" meaning that he sings only with her while shawn is a professional singer that actually said that he avoided singing to her when they first started dating because he was insecure so i don't know. but she did seem to be in the studio fall of 2019 to finish some stuff when all the songs were already written so she could have possibly made some changes. I don't think it really matters what song is for who anyway. I think it's more about the situation behind it that it's nice to know. like how songs from her previous relationship have the sense of experiencing things for the first time while the songs about shawn show how complicated their relationship was and how it all ends with used to this that makes that song special. also i like looking through lyric parallels in the album. in songs from her first relationship she used to the word save me in living proof and easy and then in shawn songs there is the 2 year parallel, the word taste and my favorite how in feel it twice she says "I can't ask you to stay" and then in used to this she says "how hard my heart's beating when you tell me i should stay" and throughout the whole song we hear her whispering "stay".

For example dream of you in the first section it sounds like its about shawn , she said bad dancer...Shy singer I know in a interview she dodged that comparison but she never really admits fully who songs are about but we all know those descriptive words describe shawn to a tee. 😊 I mean we saw his dancing skills in the BTS of senorita ha 😄🤕

2021-02-15 02:19:24 +0000 UTCYou made me cry again too, not that I don't always get emotional listening to First Man (watch the live version from the Grammys, get extra tissues for that). It's interesting that she started writing the song whilst in her first serious relationship and she obviously thought this guy could be the one but as we know now, from Should've Said It and Feel It Twice (and on Shawn's album, Song for No One), Shawn confessed his feelings for her and they were working on Señorita and old feelings resurfaced. She had to make a decision (BKOB) and then she wrote Shameless & Liar after the rehearsals for Senorita and around mid June Shawn said she texted him that after him trying to convince her for so long she finally said lets do this. They went offical 4th July, and Used to This was written after their weekend in SFO about 12/13 July. So the album takes us through her first serious relationship to the very beginning of her current one (and a lot of their history well before that). I don't even know what she'll come up with the next album, but she's working on it now apparently.

Living proof on Ellen and on the amas was amazing, First man on the grammys(I really want to see you watch this one), easy on snl, havana on grammys , consequences amas, oh my on Fallon. Her stay at home global concert with shawn and her stay at home concert series are all great. I liked all 3 of their senortia live performances (mtv vmas, amas and his Netflix concert ) . Her riff off with James corden was good and funny and shows her personality. Your mind is going to be blown even more when you dive into all these live performances. I cant even begin to tell you how insane she works the stage and live vocals. Enjoy the ride that is coming 😍🤩

2021-02-14 17:24:02 +0000 UTCthe album has many different producers. in used to this is FINNEAS (billie eilish's brother that co writes and produces all her music and has incredible music on his own you should definitely check him out) and he has added so many amazing details in the production of that song. city sounds in the beginning for san fransisco, the clock ticking for the "it's going to take me a minute", the sound of a drink getting poored and glasses for the tequila lyric and the last thing that i didn't even realize myself before camila said it the guitar stars in the song after the lyric about calloused fingers because the calluses are caused from guitar playing

Her music videos were so great as well. She is a storyteller. And you need to react to one of their live performances of Señorita. Their chemistry is amazing. For a glimpse into their natural dynamics you should watch the Señorita music video behind the scenes. It was basically them crushing on each other the whole time, and everyone surrounding them recognizing it and wanting them to be together. Camila's family loves Shawn to pieces by the way. Her Priceless experiences from home concerts from during quarantine are amazing. She's riffing and adlibbing throughout medley's from both Camila and Romance from her home. It's mostly acoustic and just showcases her voice perfectly. She was dealing with a lot of anxiety, her OCD, public scrutiny, and the pandemic during her Romance Era so it never reached it's full potential but she's top tier in the music industry for me regardless of radio charts or public buzz. She creates art regardless of what anyone else thinks. OK. Rant over. Happy Valentine's Day and love to you!

2021-02-14 15:55:12 +0000 UTCthe songs in chronological order (kinda) and a little bit about them: --> cry for me: i don't know when it was written but the lyrics are based on a song she wrote when she was 16 called "pissed of that you're happy" about a boy moving on quickly after their breakup. --> señorita: technically she said it was the first song she had for the album. it was offered to her and shawn from the songwriters that had i think the chorus of the song in 2018. they went back forward with it and they ended up finishing it may of 2019 adding elements of their own story into it. --> first man: the first song she wrote for the album in 2018 and her personal favorite. her concept for the album was already romance because she was in love in a serious relationship for the first time. that song is about her father but the relationship that inspired the album is the one she mentions in the song. --> dream of you: one of the first she wrote in 2018 about her first relationship. she said that when she was writing this album she had real life love experience to write about for the first time (not just crushes) like how she says in the lyrics "i was not living i was just writing about it". --> should've said it / feel it twice: she said she wrote them in the first week that she was writing the album about the same situation. based on her description of the songs and the connections with songs from shawn's albums it's pretty clear that they are about him confessing feelings for her too late when she had moved on from her own feelings for him from when they were younger but she hasn't properly confirmed it. --> living proof: probably written in 2018 since i think she teased lyrics from it in early 2019. the song is about intimacy when you're in love and it's makes since for it to be about her first relationship. --> easy: similar to living proof she teased about it in early 2019 too i think. it's about vulnerability in relationships also probably about her first boyfriend. --> bad kind of butterflies: she said that the title is a sweet way to describe the anxiety she was feeling about possibly hurting someone she loved. it's probably from may of 2019 since that was the time her first relationship ended and she started connecting with shawn again which is pretty obvious from the lyrics that that's the two people in the song. --> liar / shameless: she said they were written in the same two days during rehearsals for señorita music video in may 2019 about the same situation and she's said herself later on that liar is about shawn so both of them are. the first one is her making fun of herself for how much she was acting like she didn't like him the second one about accepting her feelings. --> used to this: she said it's the last song she wrote for the album in july of 2019 and it was based on the idea of "i can get used to this" meaning her dating someone that was previously her best friend. she finished the song after a trip to san fransisco where she visited what she said the "subject" of the song. she hasn't properly confirmed that it's about shawn but from a combination of the lyrics, evidence of her and shawn in san fransisco and her putting a picture of his hands in the lyric book it's clearly about him. --> this love: she said it's about feeling addicted to someone that's not good for you but it's not clear to me when it was written. --> my oh my: used to this was the last song she wrote but this was the last they added on album. similar to this love i don't know on what it's based on or when it was written.
