I personally like Anakin and Padme...the execution was just a bit clunky. They definitely should have showed her feelings more earlier. Padme has also been very duty bound and reserved so it made sense she had better control of her emotions. Anakin....you're right he has maturity issues but I think that makes sense considering he was away from his mother as well as him being treated as somewhat special since the first movie. Honestly I think if he had a bit more support from the Jedi (ie: not always dismissing him) I do think he wouldn't be as rebellious. He really needed more compassion because he is very sensitive emotionally and clearly was never guided on how to deal with death/ loss. The Jedi way kind tells him it's wrong which I think leads him to suppress his emotion rather than deal with it. I feel sorry for Anakin....his conflict was far better acted out in Episode 3. As for Naboo, the beautiful scenery was filmed in Lake Como in Italy :)

2021-04-19 14:20:45 +0000 UTCThis was so fun!! ok so i completly get your point, i felt the same way when i first watch it but i think it's because they rush the falling in love part but as u said this movie has so many amazing things and at least from my point of view the last one of this trilogy is the best! so can't wait for that one. And i don't think the order matters that much well for some fans it does but just watch the rest as u feel like doing it. The final season of clone wars does have a little spoiler but if u wanna what the show first it's ok.

I defiantly get what you are saying about how they portray Anakin in this movie, but I think that the actor, Hayden Christensen, actually showed a lot of the issues that Anakin was dealing with at the time. The last time we saw Anakin was when he was just a small boy, but now in this movie he's grown into his power, but still hasn't matured emotionally which is why we see him as arrogant and overconfident. When I watch this movie I see it as a character arc for Anakin, where at the end when he loses to Dooku he's shown that he's not as powerful as he thinks he is, and he's brought back down to reality where he still has much to learn. When it comes to Padme being in love with Anakin she's as in love with him as he is with her. I think if they played it a little differently it would have been a bit better. But the goal was to show how Padme was reluctant to enter into the relationship with Anakin because of their duties to the republic, him a Jedi, and her a senator. One of the main reasons that they tried to avoid a relationship is that Jedi are not allowed attachments to anything or anyone, their entire loyalty is to the Jedi Order, and because of this a Jedi can be expelled from the order. But one of the things that I love about their relationship is that she helps to make Anakin a better person which we can see at the end when Anakin goes with Dooku instead of saving Padme. I am so excited for you to watch The Clone Wars! You get some much back story about the clones and the rest of the Jedi that we see in the background but never meet in the movies. I do think you should finish watching the movies before you start the show, at least the next episode, because there are spoilers/references that are made since the show basically picks up after this movie. When it comes to the order I say watch it how you think would be best, I watched the show in release order, but chronological does help with keeping storylines straight. Anyway, I can't wait until you watch the next movie! Revenge of the Sith is my favorite in the prequels.

I have to admit I've never been a massive fan of the prequels, and this is my least favourite of this trilogy, and my least favourite out of all nine movies, the only good things I like about the movie is the background on Boba fett, and that amazing light saber battle with Yoda. Episode 3 Revenge of the sith is by far the best out of the prequels, and there's gonna be some crazy shit coming up in the next one, so buckle up its gonna be a bumpy ride. Now some fans will try and get you to do clone wars next..DON'T, as there will be some spoilers in the last season. Stick with the movies first, the clone wars has 7 seasons/133 episodes I think, all about 25/30mins long, and a movie aswell, so it will take so long to get through. Most people will ask you to watch them in chronological order as it will more sense and tie in better, I was not aware of this when I watched them, so I just watch them in the release order, and i dont think it made any difference, not that I noticed anyway.đ¤Łđ¤Ł so it's up to you how you do it. So definitely do the rest of the movies b4 you watch both of the animated series, as you'll get through the movies alot quicker.
