I loved this episode especially the scene in the cafeteria :) I know someone mentioned already about the KayCee Stroh (Marth Cox) cameo. I lovedddd that part and I was glad they had her hidden until she spoke because that was a nice surprise. I think if you watched the 2nd and 3rd movie before this episode, you probably picked up on her as she has a bigger role in those two movies than she did in the first. BTW you should totally follow Kaycee Stroh on social media. Love her dancing :) Can't wait for you to react the rest of the series and HSM 2 & 3 bc the dancing and songs do get better in the movies.

I'm a teacher in VA and the unbelievable thing is that public school would have hired her at all without a teaching license. I could see making it through an interview with a fudged resume, but there's no way the HR department would even offer her a teaching contract to sign without having those documents on file. They would have a legal responsibility from the Utah Department of Education to have all of those documents. It's like how a doctor needs a medical license or a lawyer needs a law license to practice. It's not like other professions where they could say "oh she didn't go to college for business but we'll still let her run this store." Or even if it was a community theatre and they found out she didn't go to college for theatre. That's just the writers of the show not knowing all the in's and out's of the legal requirements of teachers, but the episode was fun so I can suspend disbelief for the sake of entertainment haha!

Also! For Truth, Justice, and Songs In Our Key, Big Red wasn't supposed to be part of the dance bc his character isn't really supposed to be a performer/dancer. But Kourtney broke her ankle I think while rehearsing, so Big Red had to step in and he learned the whole routine on the day! :)

i’m not sure if you caught it but the woman on the school board who asks about getting tickets to the show is the actress who played martha (the girl who likes to “pop and lock and jam and break”) in the high school musical movies!! such a fun little cameo! looking forward to seeing your reaction to episode 7 because that one always gets me
