It was a beautiful album. I watched her first documentary from a couple years back. Haven’t started the new one. But I’d love to see you watch them! I think your documentary reactions and the artists I already loves reactions are my favs of yours! (Taylor, Justin, little mix, Demi now) but you also help me get into new music too! Keep being great Michael!

I haven’t finished watching your reaction yet, im 40mins in, but Theres two documentaries on youtube, one was like 3-4yrs ago, and its all about her rise to fame and how she ended up becoming an addict/alcoholic & her battle with eating disorders. And the second documentary is actually coming out now (along with this album) but its being put out episode to episode, so theres only 3 episodes out rn, and it talks about her relapse, how she almost died, along with again touching base with her eating disorder and also sexual assault, you should DEFINITELY check them out. She has been through soooooo much, it’s honestly overwhelming, she’s so incredible to me. To continue overcoming everything. Also, the song Melon Cake, melon cake is when people on extreme diets (usually) instead of having an actual birthday cake, they’ll cut a watermelon into the shape of a cake and put bday candles on that instead. & the fired for chocolate in the backseat, idk the exact story, but in this current documentary they said that EVERYONE that was around her during this specific time where she was struggling the most, no one could bring certain foods around her, they had to “walk on eggshells” about eating around her, bringjng food around her so it makes sense if someone got fired for eating chocolate around her. This was during a time where her eating disorder took a different turn and she was addicted to extreme working out, not eating correctly. So the song is basically saying that shes no longer gonna subject herself to these diets and extreme physical lifestyles just for the sake of meeting hollywood standards. Sadly, she has a lot of different vices and unfortunate issues she deals with daily.

A little backstory. TW for substance abuse and eating disorders//
Demi was misusing drugs and alcohol so she got sober and stayed sober for 6 years (we later found out this wasn’t her doing but was forced on her by her management team so was likely never going to stick since she didn’t think she needed help). During this time she was also struggling with eating disorders which were pretty much encouraged and enabled by her former management team (which she references in Melon Cake) and so the whole time she was sober she was also miserable which is why she started using again in 2018. She was chasing highs and started using drugs she hadn’t used before like heroin (hence Dancing With The Devil) and she actually wrote Anyone a couple of days before she had a near fatal overdose which resulted in her having 3 strokes and a heart attack (doctors said if her assistant had found her 5-10 minutes later she’d be dead). Because of the strokes, when Demi woke up she was blind and couldn’t see her sister Madison which is the double meaning you picked up in ICU/I See You, Demi’s vision is now partially returned but to this day she can’t drive because of the visual impairment.

Their new layout seems to have broken a lot of things. I haven't been able to view profiles or manage my own videos for about a week now.

I have no idea what’s going on with Vimeo everyone :/
The last couple days it’s been working on the browser and not the app & apparently this video is only working on the app. Looking for answers as we speak particularly because Vimeo is a service I pay a lot for. Sorry 😓
