And the reason that change your life looked like it had no budget is because they literally filmed it while they were on tour and dropped it as a little gift to the fans. They do that from time to time so we get a little glimpse of their tour life. They even did a DNA blog tour diaries that’s uploaded on their YouTube page.

And lets just say be prepared for many more hair changes lol DNA was the 1st ever video i saw of them and kind of made me look more into them like 8-9 years ago so it will always have a soft spot for me. But man just wait their videos get better and better!! Cant wait for the second batch Hope your doing good Michael! Thank you for this upload :)

Cannonball was their X Factors winners song (and can I say I’m buzzing that you’re going to be diving into their X Factor performances at some point). The woman in the video was Tulisa. She was the singer in Ndubz, a British pop/rap group, and was their judge/coach/mentor throughout the competition. Wings was their first official music video. This era was more about appealing to a younger demographic, hence the bright colours/goofy moments etc. DNA was (I believe) inspired by the movie/comic Sin City. It’s shot in the same way. I believe The Saturdays (another British girl group) also had a video in this style. Change Your Life video is a complete dud. As you said, zero budget to speak of at all, which is a shame given how good that song is. Perrie’s belt in that deserves its own high budget video in itself lol. How Ya Doin is like Wings 2.0 I’m pretty sure they were doing some sponsorship deal with Live hair dye, hence the product placement and the crazy colours. It’s a shame Missy dialled in (see what I did there) her segment as it would have been cool to have them all in the same shot but given the way the music video was shot, with each girl getting their own solo background, it worked. I don’t know why (maybe because they film some stuff in the UK) but their celebrity features never seem to physically be filming with the girls. Missy, Jason Derulo, Sean Paul, Nicki Minaj etc. all filmed their bits completely separate to the girls. The only exception I can think of is Machine Gun Kelly in No More Sad Songs which imo, is one of their best videos. Anyways, enough rambling from me, this was another great reaction. I look forward to seeing you react to the rest of the videos and Glory Days!!! Lol.

2021-04-16 06:59:21 +0000 UTCDo I look at their outfits and makeup from X-Factor and DNA and cringe? Yes. But at that time, girls of a specific age-range were trying so hard to achieve those looks! The style didn't age well, definitely isn't, like timeless lol But I find joy in the nostalgia. The first time I heard their version of Cannonball was the Live Lounge performance I think, and I didn't like it very much, but the studio version is really nice, actually! Thank you for adding that music video in, because I wouldn't have heard it otherwise. Great reaction, Michael, thanks for uploading!

In the beginning Jade and Jesy were self admittedly the most confident with dancing so you’ll notice often they appear in the front. Perrie has also admitted she was not the strongest with choreo, but I think you can tell how much she’s improved in recent performances. :)
