Lesley that you for pointing that out and yes I’m well aware of both his age and the damage, but he was still going through puberty at the time which would account for his voice. Also I mentioned this specific concert because of the enthusiasm and emotion that he put into the song and the fact that the song Bad Reputation was embellished musically with the string section is the reason it is the way he performs it now. He kept the musical arrangement and its stunning! His musicality at such a young age is breathtaking and I’m glad that he kept it for his live performances.

2021-05-05 20:27:54 +0000 UTCThe MTV Unplugged concert is great & I still enjoy it , but he was 18 or 19 and his vocals have improved a great deal since then . Watching Bad Reputation on his Netflix concert is another level. He doesn’t sing with the rasp now as it’s unhealthy long term !

He is so happy, the whole album makes me feel good, but these videos with him laughing and smiling so much are just mood lifters, period. Loved watching your reaction, as always! The album is powerful but watching him perform it is truly on another level! Enjoy!

2021-04-21 07:36:22 +0000 UTCabout handwritten there are 3 versions of the album on spotify standard, deluxe and handwritten revisited when you react to it you should react to the deluxe (it should be from life of the party to I know what you did last summer) and then go to the revisited and listen to the last three songs (act like you love me, running low, memories). The last three songs on the revisited are some of the best songs of the handwritten era so you should definetely check them out. Also in general for handwritten keep in mind that shawn was 16 when this album came out.

I agree that his happiness is infectious, I love watching him perform live because he's said its his favorite part of being a musician ans you can tell. Hes so at home on stage . Im so excited because he's recording new music and rumor has it he recorded a music video or something in LA recently so well all have to keep a eye out for that. Even if you don't post it I really thing you'll like the John Mayer and shawn live chat they did, he was so excited to be on John's little Instagram show lol I just thought it was a very fun interview . In an interview Shawn said how much he loves playing with his band , quarantine issues between Canada & the US ( the band is in Toronto) have meant he has had very limited time with them . He brought them out twice to LA , a month each time to rehearse and film all the performances for Wonder . I think the joy they all have playing together in these circumstances is a small part of why this Live In Wonder was so dynamic . Loved it 😊
