But the movie did so well and they tailored the music in the sequels to suit him!Z Ac also saidd he ha to fight to get himself in the songs for the sequel causeahe didnt even know they didnt use his recording, i guess.

Kenny has said that Ryan is gay and would probably "come out" in college and I don't why but this song really explains a lot cause Chad says he doesn't dance, but we have seen him dance multiple times. There's also one part where when Chad sings "There's just one little thing that stops me every time" and it pans out to all his friends, making me think maybe he fears being judged by his team that he might be gay (or even bi). Then right after they switched clothes. Makes you really wonder. Also, I believe the change in Sharpay has to do with how things went so wrong for her, so bad even her own brother went against her. Perhaps what Gabriella said to her by the pool finally sunk in. At first she just shrugged it off mad then Troy said he wouldn't sing with her, then he would but her brother plotted a new song for him to learn to make sure Sharpay wouldn't go on. I think it just gave her a big wake up call. Made her realize how much she needed to rethink some things. She does gain a lot of growth I feel in the third movie and of course in the spin off movie. Would love to see your reaction to Sharpays Fabulous Adventure. By far the best movie for Sharpay.

I have rewatched it way too many times and even went to the movies opening weekend to see it bc I love these movies. I also definitely recommend The Greatest Showman, Hairspray, and the live version of Greece so you can see Zac and Vanessa in other roles that are great!

2021-06-14 18:33:05 +0000 UTCI forget I'm watching a reaction and just get all wrapped up in the movie lol it's fun to rewatch these with someone that's never seen them but is open minded about them instead of just completely dismissing them as bad. also! re: Miley Cyrus as an extra - I remember Disney channel had a poll asking what other Disney star we wanted to make a cameo on the movie, and she won obvs. I think this came out after or around the first season of Hannah Montana so she was just starting to blow up. & I think you missed some bloopers at the end lol

Little fun easter egg about this one: kenny ortega is the director of this and he wanted to add queer representation in the movie but disney wouldnt allow him at the time. The fans believe that he left a little easter egg for us after the baseball game. If you pay close attention you can see that ryan and chad switched clothes somewhere after their number. Anyways, enjoyed this a lot and looking forward to the third movie!

HSM 2 is my favorite in the trilogy cause every song is so catchy (plus I believe in the Disney musical trilogy curse: 1=iconic 2=the best 3=the budget). But while it’s my favorite, the 3rd movie is produced so well. You can tell that it was made for theaters and not just Disney channel. The budget was explosive for that one.

"how many times does she have to turn around and make him even sadder?" i'm surprised you didn't make any comparison to the hsmtmts versions of 'bet on it' or 'you are the music in me'. zac's passion for his performance was unbeatable imo. i would say in terms of the music i liked hsm3 > hsm2 > hsm, and yes, this is a real location! not a set design 😊

Also Zac Efron can sing and he has played in other musicals like Hairspray and the Greatest Showman. My favorite hsm is the third one although all are iconic in a nostalgic way to me. The third one was played in cinemas and it had a way bigger budget while the first two were just disney channel original movies.

This one was so fun & clever in switching up the set (from school to a resort). But I think you’ll really enjoy the last movie b/c the acting, cinematography, plot & music I believe gets exponentially better.
