Comments

invisible being jims song to pam when she was with roy SENT me hahaha

AnnMarie

The parallel you drew between "Our Song" and her work in general.... *chef's kiss* How she takes all these moments and puts them into lyrical/musical masterpieces in a way that we can all see and feel and remember. <3 That's why we feel so close to her, because she captures memories in a way that makes them feel like ours.

Allyson Quick

It’s my eras tour date week! I’m starting at the beginning with you and rewatching all your reactions in preparation. Please excuse me if you see 100 comments from me between now and Thursday!

TiffK83

As much I adore her debut album, I can’t wait for the Taylor’s Version! Like I just can’t wait to see what she’ll do with it and how different sounding it will be, and the From The Vault songs ? How many and how will they be??!!

Bangtan is life

Mary’s song is about a couple that lived next door to taylor

Georgia Gardner

I sang Our Song at my 4th grade talent show with 8 other girls because the song had just come out and we were all obsessed. I’ve loved her ever since!! This album is so nostalgic for me and gave me so many feelings listening to it again. 🥺

Sarah Wilson

I bought this album so early on, that it still has the original lyrics to picture to burn. I was fresh out of high school and I kept hearing her on the radio and bought it for myself.

Kristina M

What I love about this album and also Fearless is that Taylor got to encapsulate what it was like to be a teenager and thanks to this I can never forget about that feeling. As Dumbledore once said, we adults tend to forget what it was to be young and that’s such a huge mistake. So thanks to Taylor I don’t. ❤️ Also you can see through her albums how much she’s grown and as someone that’s been here since Fearless era I’ve gotten to see my own maturity come across her music <3

Kelly Belher

FEARLESS next please!!!

Abby Arsenault

You should do her music videos starting from the first album. It’s fun to watch

Cassie

Since you like the concept of the Picture To Burn song you got to see the video for that it is hilarious

steven stewart

I always interpreted the ending of our song as her saying “I wrote down all those things and wrote “our song” as in the song you’re listening to right now. I feel like she did that same thing in tim mcgraw at the end when she decides to twist that lyric and add “someday you’ll turn your radio on” and hear this song. so when he thinks tim mcgraw he’ll think of her. as in her song titled tim mcgraw rather than tim himself. or i’m just over thinking because it’s taylor swift skfnd

ellie thames

Honestly, kinda stretched my time whilst watching this 'cause I'm sentimental and didn't want it to be done lol I first got into Taylor with Fearless because Love Story was everywhere, after that I'd listen to it but not really deep dive into the albums you know? That changed with 1989, I was older and got to know her story more, snap of a finger and I was a fan - no questions asked. Also is crazy to see how much Taylor has grown not just as musician, but also as a human, like her grasp on what love is / should be. I saw an interesting parallel where this guy compared like how in Cold For You (debut) she says: "And I know you wouldn't have told nobody if I died for you", and in Peace (folklore) she says: "All these people think loves for show but I would die for you in secret", as in our love, true love, does not concern anyone else. As for favorites on this album, Our Song holds a spot in my heart 'cause it was one of the first song little 12/13yo me learned on guitar and I can play on command till this day. I'm gonna stop rambling now, just wanted to say that I enjoyed reliving those albums and I'm excited to see what comes next, have a nice one!! <3

Rachel Silva

I’ve been a Swiftie since the Tim McGraw music video came out! And I don’t think you should ever lower the bar with Taylor cause she has ALWAYS been talented and there’s an innocence in this album that really is timeless.

Crista Weitzman

15 years later and I still can't make it through "Tied Together With A Smile" without coming undone. I cry every damn time ha. The best gift Taylor ever gave me was when she played this deep cut at her Minneapolis show during the Rep tour. I lost it. <3

Kristin Trelstad

And Better Man

Violeta K Sanchez

I will never forget being 8 years old and my teenage sister telling me to download this new girl Taylor Swift's album onto my iPod <3

Gracie Nonos

AHHHHH YAYAYAYAYAY

Cee

No biggie, just me sitting down all excited for this video with a bowl of cereal and my comment gets mentioned. You’re so sweet. <3 I’m 29 and Hello - no surprise - still dramatic as well. 😂 Your comment section is always filled with such kind and insightful people with the best comments. That is a total reflection of you and the energy and love you put out. So happy to watch this reaction and even more excited for all the other Taylor reactions to come. Abrazos!

Nadine

please do highway dont care by tim mcgraw ft. taylor and keith urban!! love your commentary as always btw

Xue Lynn

I'd Lie has never made it to any album release but its on youtube and you HAVE to listen to it. its peak country taylor and its a BANGER

Abbey H.

Time to react to all her music videos you missed haha

Molly C

Michael! There’s so much more in her discography that you haven’t listened to because Taylor has so many non-album singles! She has songs from movie soundtracks like Crazier, Sweeter Than Fiction, Beautiful Ghosts, and my personal favorites Safe & Sound and Eyes Open which she wrote for the soundtrack to the Hunger Games movie. She has Only the Young from her documentary and a song called Ronan (a tear jerker for sure). She’s got a Christmas album and a short EP called Beautiful Eyes. She also has some really good duets with other artists, I Don’t Wanna Live Forever with Zayne, Both of Us with BoB, Highway Don’t Care with Tim McGraw, and Gasoline with HAIM. You’ve still got plenty of fresh Taylor content before she drops the Red re-recording this fall!

Beth Stokes

starlight is about Ethel and Robert Kennedy! she was inspired by some pictures of them in their youth while she was dating Conor

Giu Bressani

Also would recommend Babe with Sugarland

KyraB

Crazy to thank you reacted to 9 TS albums in such a short amount of time, I will always have a special place for her debut becuase it’s what introduced me to Taylor and what made me fall in love with her music back when I was 16/17, I remember the first song I ever heard from her was Teardrops on my guitar (I suppose in the radio) and I was hooked. Things to react to from Taylor : -Other songs not in albums (safe & sound and Eyes open from Hunger Games soundtrack; Sweeter than Fiction; beautiful ghosts from cats soundtrack; Better Man - she wrote for little big town but there’s a great video of her signing it at bluebird cafe; Two is better than one w/ boys like girls; half of my heart with John Mayer) she also wrote babe for Sugarland (and is featured in that song) - Her music videos by era - Tours: journey to fearless, speak now tour, red tour, 1989 tour. - performances: so many amazing ones. Some of my favorite include the Grammy Museum performances (whole set), Tiny Desk concert set, At&T secret show, award show performances, jingle ball, and many more - Secret Sessions (1989, Reputation, Lover) - Billboard Woman of the Decade Speech 2019

Sol Gorlero

This is bittersweet! This journey, as well as your Little Mix and HSMTMTS stuff, was a big reason I subbed to the Patreon. Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened 😭 This album resonated with me so much when I was in middle school and early high school. Every person I’ve ever had a crush on has had Teardrops played in their honor! 😂 Great reaction, as always.

Storm

OMG! I don't even remember the last time I laughed this hard! This intro was the best thing ever! 😍😂😂😂

Sandra Svensson

same. safe and sound is actually the song that made me check out the rest of taylor's discography. i heard it played on the hunger games and just fell in love with it. been wishing for her to release something with the same vibe and finally after 8 years we got folklore and evermore

sai

Mary’s Song is about her neighbor!! I believe Starlight from the Red album was about them too, but that couldve just been an empty rumor I heard

Elisha Li

Some of these are my top taylor songs!!! Yes please react!! But also add Sweeter Than Fiction and Highway Don’t Care to the list!!

Elisha Li

Omg i loved the intro so much!!! Beautiful reaction as always!!! Can't wait to see you react to her tours, music videos and other songs you still have to listen..like safe and sound and eyes open and sweeter than fiction..oh and Beautiful ghosts too!!!!! OMG so many things 🤣🍾♥️♥️♥️

Patrizia

One request- you HAVE to listen to Better Man by Taylor. Bluebird Cafe. It's a red era song that she wrote for another band. Please. The performance is amazing.

Brianna

I'm a year and a half younger than taylor, I'm an OG fan. I remember listening to this album on my iPod nano in math class lol. When good 4 u came out it just reminded me of the teenage angst I used to feel singing to should've said no. Also you mentioned that you remember teardrops on my guitar being faster, there was a radio version, that's probably what you heard. I'm excited for you to do the music videos, because at least from 1989 and on she has incredible ones.

Brianna

I believe in Cold As You supremacy

Starr Jauregui

I Second this!!! Safe and Sound is one of my favourite songs of all time and definitely showed some early signs of folklore/evermore

Madi Rose

Yes definitely any of them. Taylor loves her colors!

Ali Hannig

It could also be from Dear John "you paint the blue skies grey" or from Coney Island "did I paint your bluest skies the darkest grey"

Swiftie_mixer

I‘ve enjoyed this so much (as always) and oh to be so free now about the next Taylor content! I‘d really love seeing the 1989 tour with you next because I’ve been wanting you to watch it so long now lol. But I have to say every live performance content will be appreciated as well as the music videos of cause too! There‘s literally so much left aaarrghhh❤️❤️

Clarissa

loved this reaction! my favs are mary’s song, invisible and tied together with a smile but overall i really enjoy this album and i can’t wait for taylor to re-record it, especially from a production point of view. Next i would love to see you react to the music videos or 1989 tour (it’s amazing!!!) or also some live performances like the grammy museum one or her tiny desk concert. Anyways thank you for this journey so far, the intro was amazing <3

viola

loved this reaction! cold as you, tied together with a smile, and invisible always get me, definitely my favs off this album!

Samantha

love this reaction. love taylor swift (this is my fave album of hers) BUT I just watched both of you high school musical movie reactions, which were amazing. I don’t remember what video but you said something along the lines of “I wonder if Sharpay gets a moment where she comes to her senses” idk something like that..and she does! She has her own movie called “sharpays fabulous adventure” it’s very underrated…was one of my fave movies growing up. I would love if you watched that! (I’m writing this here because I’m not sure if you look at old videos comments) THANKYOU I LOVE YOU love from aus 🤍

Alexis

Just wondering if you are really planning to do all of the music videos? The "Only Me when I'm with you" video is a personal favorite because it changes the song meaning for me. I actually can't listen to the song without seeing parts of the video. It is not a story video though.

Lydia

Fun fact: Taylor wrote our song for her 8th grade talent show!!!!

Bee

I loved the intro with the montage!! I haven’t seen some of those in awhile! And that picture of u at 16 😭😭

GB

I love this reaction! I've missed your taylor swift content! I cant wait for the 1989 tour and music videos <3 thank you

jane

I just read that "Mary's song" was about her neighbors growing up. That is beyond sweet!!!

Just Susie

Also please listen to the two songs she wrote for the Hunger Games! Safe and Sound is very much Folklore vibes 🤍

Allison V

you mentioned the production difference they were all produced by the same guy Nathan Champman who was an unknown producer and she pushed her team to let him produce Fearless and Speak Now! She has said that they didn't have much to record this album with because she was the first artist that Scott ever signed to Big Machine Label Group so they were lit. bring her up on nothing no backing nothing. I think Scott even said once others in the industry didn't believe he was gonna work with Taylor being signed to them because she was only 16 and a little country singer. If you want Journey to Fearless you'll get more on her background

Samantha

Generally people rank this their least favorite album of Taylor’s, I was 12 when this came out I would come home from school everyday and play this cd on repeat to where even now if I hear one of these songs when it ends the next song on the album automatically starts playing in my head. From then to now she’s been my favorite artist. This album and honestly all her albums literally take me back to the time in my life when each one came out. I have deep emotional connections with them all and though this may not be her best album whenever I do listen to it, it means just as much as any of her other albums! Thank you so much for these reactions, it’s been so fun hearing your feedback and appreciation for her talent! Can’t wait for you to see the music videos 💙

Rachel R

😭❤️ can’t believe we’re at the end! I’d love to see you hear the original version of fearless if you haven’t yet, and definitely her music videos!

Allison V

Next you should check out her songs that aren’t on her albums, like Crazier (from the Hannah Montana Movie) and Two is Better than One with Boys Like Girls. And she’s on a Tim McGraw song called Highway Don’t Care. Also pretty please do the 1989 music videos soon, they are so good!

Ashley Kinney

I literally gasped when Story of Us started to play 😂

Storm

Ashley I was thinking the exact same thing about the ending of should have said no!!! That performance is so damn good!

Katey

A little sad you didn’t like stay beautiful. My fave song! But it’s okay! Yes you have heard should’ve have said no. She did it as a mashup with bad blood on the rep tour. My top 5 is probably Tim McGraw, teardrops on my guitar, stay beautiful, should have said no, and our song. I think next I’d like to see you react to the 1989 tour!!! Sooooo good! Btw loved the intro. So nostalgic & got me a little emotional. Thank you for bringing us along this journey with you. I’ve had so much fun and I cannot wait for more content (:

Katey

no but you mentioning quinciñeras when I literally had A Place in This World played in mine...........

Giu Bressani

Laughing out loud when you were saying you’re lowering the bar for real. I started listening to her songs and becoming a swiftie probably 3-4 years after this first released bc I was still too busy playing tag with my neighbours as I was a literal child at that time lol One can’t really choose a fav TS album, but this (and fearless) probably has most of the tracks that I always listen to or go back to even more than a decade later. And I get what you’re saying about some songs blending here. But you have to give it to her having written some of these songs at the age of 12. Anywayy thought I’d also share: Should’ve said no, Mary’s song and Our song are three of my TOP TS SONGS EVER :((( this makes me so happy!! So many more exciting TS things for you to discover and be mind-blown by!

Xene

So when this album came out I was only 10 or 11 but I grew up in a VERY small hick town and so this was the bees knees for all the kids and teens where I lived. So naturally I fell in love with it and it was great because as her music got more mature and progressive and less country, so did I because I grew up. Taylor will always be one of the artists that really shaped me at a young age. ❤️ Also I always get so excited when your favs are also my favs! Tim McGraw, cold as you, and should’ve said no are top tier 🙏🏼 Thanks for the reaction Michael! 🥰🥰

Alycia Ortiz

When this album came out I listened to it all the time front to back. I loved it, and I instantly fell in love with Taylor as an artist. It was also kind of hard to escape where I live because Taylor played on every country and pop radio station in my area. But as much as this album holds a special place in my heart for being my introduction to Taylor, I don’t listen to much of it anymore, unless I’m just listening to full playlist of nothing but Taylor. The only songs I really listen to regularly from this are Should’ve Said No and Our Song. That being said, I think this is the album I’m most excited to hear the re-recording for because her voice has matured so much since then and I can’t wait to see what she does with it.

Jared

Can you check out these songs from Taylor that are not part of her albums? Theyre movie soundtracks, collabs or just something random. Safe and Sound I don't wanna live forever Both Of Us Two Is Better Than One Crazier Eyes Open Beautiful Ghosts Thug Story

sai

Ahhh loved this! This album holds such a huge place in my heart and it saddens me that it doesn't always get the praise it deserves! Our Song was the first Taylor song I ever heard and loved and its how I got into Taylor right before the Fearless era. A friend told me the title of it at recess one time in the fifth grade and I went home and watched the music video for it a million times over. So that song will always be super special. The Invisible appreciation is everything cause that was the song I used to play ON REPEAT about my crush in middle school who had a crush on another girl lol, I was so dramatic I even sent it to him at one point. *cringes* Also Picture To Burn will always be the BEST breakup song to yell at the top of your lungs. But as an adult, Tied Together With A Smile is by far my fave from this album. Its about her friend who had an ED and that just hits so hard. The second verse about the money is the best writing on this album imo. This album has gotten me through over 14 years of my life and I will be forever thankful for it. A lot of life happens from 10 yrs old to 24 yrs old and these songs have always been right there along with me. You def heard Should've Said No before cause she did a mashup that included it on the rep tour. As for your next look at Taylor, my suggestion would be either her music videos because I think they give another perspective on the songs and hers are so well done. Or I would say that a few of my fave live performances are I Did Something Bad at the 2018 AMAs, Death By A Thousand Cuts on Tiny Desk, Cornelia Street live in Paris, All Too Well at the 2014 Grammys or Should've Said No at the 2008 AMC awards. I also would suggest looking into her non-album singles cause they are really awesome too! Thanks for this journey! I've loved watching them all!

Mal

I've had such a great time watching your journey! I can't believe the albums are over but like you said, there's so much left to discover. My suggestion for your next Taylor video is her Grammy Museum performance. She plays Blank Space, Out of the Woods, and How You Get the Girl...but the highlight is her performance of Wildest Dreams. It's just her playing an electric guitar and singing, one of my favorite live performances. Here's the full set: https://youtu.be/o23frIg7bvA

Wanda Smith

She preformed you should’ve said no at the CMAs (I think) and it was so good! She changes up the last part and every time I hear the studio version I’m disappointed she didn’t do it haha. I LOVED this album when it came out! Like listened to it all day everyday! I still have the cd where she says “I’ll tell my friends you’re gay” on picture to burn. She definitely changed that not to long after it came out 😅 now it’s definitely one of my least favorites of hers.

Ashley O

taylor wrote mary’s song about an old couple who lived nextdoor to her at the time! they came over for dinner one night and told the story of how they’d met as kids :)

McKenna DeFranco

Great reaction, I really enjoyed it! I’m wondering if gray walls lyric reminded you of Red when she says “missing him was dark gray, all alone” Also, she did a mash-up of Bad Blood and Should’ve Said No on the reputation tour so I’m sure that’s where you heard the song from.

Ali Hannig

You should start with the music videos during every album and then start with the tours also I wish you start from old to new to see the evolution 💕👌🏻

Zainab Alqallaf ✨

You did hear should've said no on the rep tour! It was mashed up with bad blood! Also she literally wrote the outside at 12 years old because she felt like an outcast in middle school. She's that good

grace

You had it right. She performed Should’ve Said No on the Rep Tour as a mashup with Bad Blood.

Amanda B

these songs were written from 12 to 16. this is one of my Stan albums and it does not get the love it deserves. Also fun fact this album was recorded & produced in a shed in her producers (Nathan Chapman) yard. He worked with her from Debut to 1989.

Liv R

OMG YES THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

GB

There is a pop version of Teardrops on My Guitar. That's probably the one you heard!

Ashley Moore

I’m so happy you finished the whole discography! It’s been a journey for sure! I have to say I’m most excited to see you react to the 1989 tour in the future. It was my first Taylor concert 💜

Amanda B

Ok I literally cried actual tears at the intro because you’ve come so far 😭😢🥺. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for us all these months 💞💞💞

Lucille

omg I can't believe I have to work another 3 hours before I can watch this
