‘Three golems… rock and earth.’ Sebastian looked around, ‘Might be a bit annoying.’
“Harry!” Hermione yelled but the boy with the scar reassured her.
“I will be fine.” He yelled back, “Don’t move from there.”
The boy was worried about his friends’ safety. He knew that if they moved, the golems would most certainly hurt them.
“Now, boy.” Quirrell swirled his fingers, “Come here and help master in finding the stone.”
“Don’t do it Harry!” Ron yelled.
“SILENCE!” Quirrell yelled, fuming at the side characters disrupting the play between Harry, him and his master. “Golems, make them regret coming here!”
“No!” Harry said in horror, “I will find the stone but please do not hurt them!”
“Har–”
“It’s okay, Hermione.” Harry showed a pained smile, “Trust me.”
“Do NoT pLaY tRiCkS bOy!”
“If you play tricks, I will rip you apart.” Quirrel warned as well, “Do not try to play in front of the master!”
Harry clenched his fists, “I won’t.” He said in a determined voice, “But please do not hurt them.”
Quirrell, once again, grinned. “Of course. If you keep your end of the bargain, I shall too.”
‘As if…’ Harry knew that Quirrell was lying. He was definitely going to kill them once he had the stone. ‘But what can I do?’
He looked towards the mirror, afraid of what might happen. He knew how easy it was to get lost in the mirror and even if he did succeed, the stone would fall in Voldemort’s hands.
“Now boy,” Quirrell walked closer to him, “Stare into it, and find the stone.”
‘I don’t have any other choice.’ Harry felt defeated, but he did not want to quit. ‘No, I must succeed.’
“Very well.” He said and walked in front of the mirror, his heart heavy as he was aware of the possible outcome.
“Harry…” Hermione bit her lips, wondering if there was truly nothing they could do.
And while they were all consumed worrying about the stone, a certain heir was thinking about something else. ‘Rock and earth… Mud.’ His eyes glowed, ‘Wait!’
He took a step back without letting anyone catch on. ‘Should I stop Harry from taking out the stone? No, it is probably the best choice to let him proceed.’
The cogs of his head started to spin, ‘Let’s do this.’
He knew exactly what to do. There was no denying it that after so much blabber about the stone, he was now deeply interested in it as well.
And if there was a way to get the stone –he was going to use the way.
“Please Harry… Don’t…” Ron closed his eyes, assuming that it was a lost cause.
They all saw Harry standing in front of the mirror, letting the magical mirror put him into a hallucination.
“KeEp An EyE oN hIm…” Voldemort hissed, and each time Sebastian heard his voice –he felt disgusted.
“Rest assured, my lord.” Quirrell promised, “The stone shall be yours in a moment.”
Everyone stared at Harry, seeing him jitter around as he stood.
“The MiRrOr ShOwS ThE HaPpInEsS tHaT yOu DeSiRe.” Voldemort explained, “YoU cAn GeT LoSt iN iT eAsIlY.”
‘So, that’s what the mirror does.’ Sebastian mused, ‘It is the perfect escape for people that cannot bear reality.’
“Why is he shaking so much…” Ron asked in worry.
“Emotions can be overwhelming,” Hermione said, “Harry said that the last time he stared at the mirror, he saw his parents.”
“Oh…”
“He seems to be regaining his senses.” Quirrell said in glee, “Just a bit more!”
‘Just a bit more.’ Sebastian thought the same, quietly taking out his wand from the sleeves of his robe.
As they prepared themselves, they noticed Harry’s eyes returning to normal –the haze vanishing from his eyes.
“What do you see, Harry Potter!” Quirrell asked, “Do you see the Stone?!”
“I-I–” Harry shuddered a little, “I see myself shaking hands with Dumbledore…”
“What?” Quirrell frowned, “What nonsense! Do I have to destroy this mirror to get to the stone?”
The man was conflicted. If Harry was unable to fetch the stone from inside of the mirror, maybe breaking the mirror was the only choice left.
But what he failed to notice, did not go unnoticed by two other men.
‘He is lying…’ Sebastian’s eyes widened as he saw Harry slyly checking his robe’s pocket.
“He Is LyInG!” Voldemort hissed in his croaking voice, “ThE BoY hAs ThE sToNe!”
This infuriated Quirrell.
“Potter!” The professor roared, “You dare play me, Potter!”
‘Now!’
“Give me the stone, boy!”
“Why don’t you take this!” And as Quirrell’s entire focus was on Harry, Sebastian casted a spell.
Well, three charms to be precise.
“Incendio Maxima! Aguamenti Maxima! Confringo!”
Using the multicasting magic that he spent his entire days mastering and even missing all the major events of Hogwarts –He was able to rapidly heat up and cool down the rocky golems.
Doing this, he was able to weaken the rock body of the golem and combined with the final Confringo –even the massive rock shattered to pieces, dishevelling everyone.
“You!” Quirrell yelled and taking this chance, even Ron and Hermione made their escape from the other two golems.
But this was not the plan, the plan was something else.
“Harry…” As the dust and rubble surrounded them, blocking Quirrell’s vision, Sebastian called for Harry in a low voice. “The stone, throw it!”
Sebastian was right behind Harry, while everyone else was running around, confused.
Harry understood that if the stone was kept with himself, it would reach Quirrell’s hand one way or the other. So, without wasting a second –he threw the stone towards the Slytherin Heir.
‘Perfect!’ The moment Sebastian got the stone, he immediately put the stone inside his inventory using the only spatial magic he knew.
“ThE sToNe!” Voldemort yelled, sensing the stone moving around, “He ThRew It!”
“Harry!” Quirrell was fuming, “Where is the Stone!”
The professor raised his eyebrow, ready to strike the boy down. But just at that moment, Sebastian yelled.
“Don’t hurt him!” He said, “I-I have the stone.”
This made Harry’s eyes widen, he didn’t understand why Sebastian revealed that.
“Let him go and I will give you the stone.” He said, making Quirrell’s eyes widen further.
“You do not have the privilege to make a demand, boy.” Quirrell gnashed his teeth, however Sebastian had a plan.
“Let them,” He pointed at Ron and Hermione, who were once again trapped by the golems, “And Harry go. Or I will destroy this stone.”
“No!” Quirrell yelled in horror as he saw Sebastian placing his wand right next to the stone.
“Do It FoOl!” Voldemort screamed.
“Y-Yes master!” He looked at Harry, “Run boy!”
Harry was still frozen in confusion, unsure of what was happening.
“Harry, run aside!” Sebastian ordered, asking the boy to move to the side.
But Harry, he felt betrayed. Even Ron and Hermione were in sheer shock.
“Harry!”
But understanding that he had no other choice, he ran to the right –towards Sebastian.
“The Stone!” Quirrell demanded and with a sour face, Sebastian threw the stone at the bald demonic faced man.
Quirrell nearly jumped to catch the red stone, not daring to let it fall away from him.
“Stone!” He gasped, finally gripping his fingers around the stone –feeling the smooth and hard texture of the red gemstone. “Finally!”
He slowly opened his fists, revealing a bright and gorgeous red gemstone in hand.
“The Philosopher’s Stone…” he muttered.
“No…” However, Voldemort’s expression was different –it was sour. “ThE sToNe Is A fAkE!”
“Huh?” But as the confused Quirrell tried to process Voldemort’s statement, he heard two other shouts.
Two spells.
One by Harry.
“Expelliarmus!”
And the other by Sebastian.
“Bombarda Maxima!”
Pointed at none other than the professor of dark arts himself.
Quirinus “The Man With Two Faces” Quirrell.
