Yup, Pixiv Fanbox, Gumroad, even card payment services are blocking Boosty in the west. It's crazy.

2024-11-09 07:58:06 +0000 UTCI'm gonna piggyback off of Toby's answer and add that since PayPal was cracking down on supporting NSFW work, other man-in-the-middle services and payment processors started doing the same, hence why Fantia stopped supporting Visa and MasterCard, then DLsite started doing the same thing months later. I think Booth did it either just before Fantia or within a month of them doing so. In the case of Booth, they gave directions to a workaround right after support ended.

2024-11-05 19:15:39 +0000 UTCNot sure about that, but it definitely is centred around worryingly growing censorship (companies being suddenly afraid of being called out for allowing adult content), and Puriteens (teens with extremely anti everything adult mindset who want to sanitise everything), as well as trolls who get off on people's livelihoods being destroyed.
