Patron Update - 1/31/21

Hey, everyone! I wanted to give you all an update on how things are going with the novel.

With the help of your patronage, I have been able to get an editor who will go through the entirety of Book 1 and its side chapters looking for errors, inconsistencies, and other such things. That will be March 15th. This also means Book 1 - “The Stained Tower: The Tower’s Prelude” will be concluded before or around that time.

As both thanks and to help even out the tier increases, I have increased the number of available Gold chapters to nine and the available Silver chapters to six. Also, I’m sure many of you have noticed, but chapter sizes have also increased from 1.7k-2.6k to 2.6k-3.8k.

Secondly, I will be expanding the art for Book 1 by a piece or two. I’m always nervous to commission art because they are generally expensive and don’t always come out as good as I expected. On that note, I have been working on a map in between working on chapters. I tried to commission someone to finish it for me so that I could get it posted sooner, yet, none of the people I tried to commission thought they could improve it much. Maybe they just prefer maps that are pure fantasy, I don’t know, but I’ve been having to make it alone, regrettably.

Anyhow, it's not done, but I'll give you guys a preview of what I've been able to get done on it. It’ll be a Patreon exclusive post below this one; please enjoy. I'd also like to add that most of the art and maps will stay exclusive to Patreon, save for those that purchase Book 1 outright when it is completed and for sale.

Third, there will be one more side chapter from Constance’s past and then two to three side chapters from character POV’s. The POV chapters have had to wait because I’ve been worried about spoilers if we swap to other PoV’s.
