Finding the level I want for my backgrounds.

Hi guys,

Just spent two day on this piece and really happy with the outcome.  I love getting lost in painting details.  This is actually referencing a view just 100 meters down my road.

I will need some B-roll shots for my animated short film and this will be one of them.

I am currently putting together the video for this so hopefully I should have one out soon on my Youtube channel. I want to talk about the 2D textures I use and apply to my 3D base before I start painting.  Show how they can be used.

In the final shot there will be a train rolling past on the bridge.
I have yet not decided what to do in terms of frame rate for my film. I was first considering making the whole thing in 12 fps as that's what my characters will be in, but I think I'm leaning more towards 24 fps for cameras and other moving elements that are not the 2D characters. What do you guys think is a clever way? By having it on Ones and Twos I think it could marry well together, because everything on Twos can make the camera moves a bit laggy.

How are you getting on with your personal projects? Let me know!

Cheers guys! Yeah I think this is what I will go for. 👍

I agree. I think the marrying the two together will work out fine. I cant wait to see more!

A 12fps camera always disorients which can be used purposely for a feeling of uneasiness or flickering consciousness in first person pov. Without explicit reason lowering past 24 fps will just feel laggy :/
