Hey!
I had a few hours yesterday which I could spend on putting my outlined animation to colour.
Always feels good to complete something and since I spent a long time on this one it makes me happy when it actually turns out in a way that I like.
Colour shapes in comparison with just outlines are a bit more forgiving when it comes to spotting inconsistencies between frames. A outline animation will straight away show up as jerky or wobbly if its in-between's are not perfect but I think you don't see it as much on a character like this. (I did try to be as precise with my drawings tho but its hard to keep it perfect.)
I added a bit of a delayed movement to his hair when he trows his arm out to emphasise the speed of it. I think those little touches adds quite a bit.
I have recorded segments from both the in-between process and the colouring process and I just recorded the Voice over for the YouTube episode so stay tuned for that.
