Next Patreon Video - Suggestions?
Added 2020-04-27 20:11:28 +0000 UTCHi Friends!
I would love to hear what you guys want to see for the next Patreon video! Any suggestions are welcome! Do you want another in depth video or maybe something more basic oriented? Should we cover backgrounds, characters, 3D, 2D, animation etc.
Let me know below in a comment or in a private message!
Cheers!

Nice one! Yeah it seams that many want to see more C4D stuff. :)
2020-05-02 15:36:19 +0000 UTCI've been attempting C4D landscape prep for PS but I'm completely new to the software and struggling with lighting and adding textures effectively. A tutorial on the basics of this would be really nice.
2020-05-02 15:31:29 +0000 UTCThat sounds good! Yeah this is definitely something we can go into detail on!
2020-04-30 06:28:52 +0000 UTCI would love to see your process in C4D. I know you work a lot in PS but sometimes start with C4D. Maybe some animation, lighting or modeling tips would be interesting. Kind of like the video you made with that cool van animation a while back.
2020-04-30 02:47:25 +0000 UTCThat's nice! Yeah sounds like something we could talk about.
2020-04-29 16:03:55 +0000 UTCI've always found the look and feel of your backgrounds truly appealing. I am not entirely sure how to propose it, but maybe something more "basic" regarding that? I think I am speaking more in terms of style/inspiration than actual 3D or 2D technique, hopefully that makes sense :)
2020-04-29 14:31:42 +0000 UTCCool! Yeah could for sure be something to look at! Good thing with AE and PS is that it works well together and is editable.
2020-04-28 12:54:55 +0000 UTCI'd love to get you POV on file organization/management as it pertains to how you animate in Photoshop then link those files in After Effects. I'm hoping in your process your files stay editable and allow for back and forth tweaking.
2020-04-28 12:53:09 +0000 UTCThat's a good one. We could definitely look into that.
2020-04-28 12:51:32 +0000 UTCIs there a shadow layer for the coloured animation - would like to see that process!
2020-04-28 12:37:22 +0000 UTCCool! Yeah from a more specific video there could be a lot of tips and tricks to share along the way.
2020-04-28 06:32:24 +0000 UTCThanks! Yeah could try to show some experiments I have been working on. Always trying to find the balance of 3d and 2d and been looking at both creating animated water and grass recently (2D looking) so might be something we could dive into :)
2020-04-28 06:31:01 +0000 UTCThat's a good question. I think I can probably answer that here, but could be something I can elaborate on in future videos too. It is true that I am sort of eyeballing it. I do almost always film a reference video of myself acting it out, so having that close at hand when animating helps as I can quickly glance over and see what poses I want. I think my latest animation did morph a slight bit and getting each frame to stick to the model is always a challenge. I would say drawing experience is the number one thing that will prevent a lot of morphing. I constantly move back and forth between the keyframes to always double check things are going into the right places. But I still find it hard to get things perfect. 👍
2020-04-28 06:26:03 +0000 UTCHey, I would be interested in how you maintain a characters look. How you develop a character, what techniques you use to make sure the current character doesnt morph or change. From watching your 'keyframe animation' video, it feels like you are just eyeballing it, but you pull it off so well. Whats going through your mind when you know you have to stick to a character design? Hope that makes sense!
