The second episode is here!
I love to explore ways to use 3D, but to sort of hide it and subtly blend it with my 2D approach. In this latest shot for my film I think I found a nice balance for the grass. It doesn't look like a flat texture on a surface and not overly 3D detailed either. I like how it still feels painted but that it allows me to move a camera over it and individually animate it.
I will upload a video on my YouTube showing the same shot but covering more of the general workflow for the scene building.
I have added the Rock model and the grass textures to the Elder texture folder.
If you wanna use the same assets feel free to try. But I encourage you to also see if you can paint your own ones if you intend to create a similar thing.
