Actually. It's speed. They eat so fast, you cant see it. Like how Son Goku of dragonball eats an senzu bean. To instantly heal. And afterwards he eats enough for 20 people, so he is stacked up in the healing department for the next fight.

Heroes lunching in the middle of a fight to regain health. I'd like to see that in an Avenger movie, the secret behind almost immortal super heroes ? (hidden) lunches in the middle of a fight :D
