Added 2017-06-08 21:57:23 +0000 UTCWeigh in on this one for me, guys. I think it works as is, and I don't want to add any dialogue or exposition if I can help it. But I'm also too close to it at this point, so I'm having a hard time seeing it with fresh eyes.
(Assuming you're up to date on your Nintendo news,) does the joke come across?

I did get the joke of course but it came across a little harsh (maybe it's the Nintendo fanboy in me).

At least with 360 I know it was necessary to have a hookup to the TV or system for game audio and another to the controller for chat and those had to go through some sort of mixer (specialty headsets had it built in but if you wanted to use your headset on other systems you'd need an external mixer). This really isn't all that different just a little more muddled and a little more mobile. Bluetooth would be ideal though, or have game audio go through the phone but there's still time and Nintendo is actually starting to listen to the players more.
