I really like this show. I think the characters are really well-written, both the parents and the teenagers. They're all different with different points of view, but you can understand them and where they're coming from. This is not an action-packed show, but it's interesting throughout. I never read the comic, so I can't give much insight on how it's different, except to say that one character is supposed to be a mutant, but Marvel didn't have the rights to use "mutants" in TV & movies (FOX owns that, although Disney/Marvel Studios supposedly just bought those rights, so they should be able to in the future). So, Molly is not said to be a mutant on the show. They explain her powers in some other way.
