I don’t think klaus doesn’t understand the concept of love. I think he loves his family and his child but when you’ve spent 1000 years dealing with threats and retaliating it’s going to take time to break the cycle. You could see he felt guilt and remorse after he did what he did. Normally he boasts a bit after his plan is successful but he didn’t this time.

She chooses to be petty and get revenge on Elijah, Klaus, and Marcel instead of going after the life she wants. I just find it funny because now that she has the chance she doesn't leave for her happiness which she is always complaining about Klaus ruining.

2018-03-06 06:38:28 +0000 UTCI remember being disappointed with Klaus when I first watched this for what he did to Davina and Tim. However, I do think that he does understand. It would be incredibly out of character for him to change and act differently when he sees an immediate threat. Of course he's going to react like he usually does because it is all he knows. And yet, when Rebekah is carrying Davina and he locks eyes with Rebekah you can see it in his face that he knows he fucked up. And then when he is confronted by Cami you can see it in his face that he does feel bad and he just doesnt know what to do about it. The Klaus from TVD would have acted a lot differently. He would have justified his actions to Elijah instead of shutting up and letting him reprimand him. He would have shrugged things off or laughed it off. Probably threaten everyone like he used to do. But instead he crossed his arms, looked at his sister and acknowledged her disappointment. The changes are subtle but they are there.
