Please continue the shows together otherwise it won't make sense. I think people on youtube just didn't understand why there was 3 TO and only 1 TVD but that's just because of the way they aired.

2018-03-30 20:08:05 +0000 UTCDamon and Elena certaintly aren't toxic....They just need time to process everything that happened...Spend some time to re evaluate themselves away from each other and work from there. I wouldn't say what they did after break up was "hate sex" moreso "break up" sex....They were literally weeks away from each other, frustrated, sexual tension was at a high etc...Elena doesn't make excuses for Damon....She tries to understand him....Damon just lets his insecurities get in the way and acts out on his emotions and Elena knows this which is why by not justifying his actions she tries to understand him......Damon has to learn how to keep himself under control and learn to let things happen as they may ...This is a great thing for Delena......They've hit a rough patch now it comes a time for them to re evaluate themselves, their relationship and start from there. Their relationship as a whole consumes them, they love passionately, it doesn't make sense to those around them but it's right for them....That is what makes Damon and Elena so special...Their relationship isn't like the other couples on the show...They're intricate, detailed, complicated, and real.

Damon killed generations of innocent people and much more after spending five years being tortured, Enzo spent more than 70 years being tortured and it was to be expected that he would be worse than Damon to this point, but he is not like that, he is so loyal and hopeful, and never give up on the people he loves and I love this about him! now with the scene between Damon and Elena at the end (one of the best fight scenes between them) I do not think they are a toxic relationship, difficult yes, but I think a big part is because Damon never really was a vampire for himself, he did not want to become a vampire and when Stefan forced him, he spent 150 years in his obsession to rescue Katherine and then when he discovered that Katherine had never loved him, Elena was already in the picture. I think they need a separate time, yes, to be able to discover themselves as vampires without depending entirely on each other (more for Damon in that department),but they were not together for weeks, they just recovered from viruses, I think they just could not hold on and stay away from each other after all this.

They said in the episode that the last pair of doppelgängers' blood is special. When only 2 remain their blood, when mixed together, will be 'special'. What that means we don't know. That's why they want to kill his doppelgänger so only 1 pair remains (Elena and Stefan).
