It’s not suppose to be smooth sailing, the whole reason why this break up is so messy is bc they still love each other, but they know they can’t be together right now. So ofc there will be a lot of back and forth, it would be unrealistic if there wasn’t.

There’s just whole arguing that gets really annoying espically when many of the conversations are about the same thing. Example: “You can’t be with me I’m a bad guy!” “No it’s ok I love you we can get through this!”

the reason why elena asked damon to let her go was bc of damon's irrationality and his impulsiveness, that's why they need time apart, so damon can work on himself. Elena even said that if they keep going as there are, they will never solve anything.

Adam Rosenblum - constantly making up and breaking up? they hadn't made up tho, they hadn't made up since their break up in 5x10, they were going to reconcile until elena found out about aaron, but when she did they stayed broken up and just made it more official, just bc they had post break up sex doesn't mean they reconciled. They never officially got back together.

I have seen that other couples on the show make up and break up quite however, in my opinion it got annoying to how repetitive these storylines were.

Stelena broke up how many times? Think all of the couples have done this just wait until she sees what will happen with Steroline....Delena isn't the only couple to go through the "make up break up" phase...Have you seen Forwood? Let's not....Delena truly only broke up "once" the act of "letting go" is something everyday couples do on a daily basis and season 6 is much better for Delena in comparison to season 5. Outside forces is what kept them apart not themselves which I cannot say for the other couples....Delena has gone through the most thus far as far as their relationship is concerned.

Get used to Elena and Damon constantly making up and breaking up the show does it a lot for the rest of the season and in season 6.

What's amazing is that you could watch these episodes and never be able to tell he directed them. That's how well the flow into series from one episode to another!
