2018-05-23 15:17:06 +0000 UTCGreat reaction. This is one of those episodes which highlights how important Damon was to the group dynamic. He was the central figure who glued the group together. Ironically Caroline, who hates Damon, who is feeling his loss. She's grieving the loss of Stefan, because he's not in the right place in his life at losing Damon, and she's also grieving the loss of Elena. Elena is alive and well, she seems happy, but she's not Elena. She's an empty shell. Right now, Elena reminds me of early S1 Caroline. She's shallow. Without her soulmate to balance her out, a large part of her character is missing. It highlights what Jeremy said back in S1 when Damon compelled Jeremy's memories away of Vicki, he couldn't remember her, but there was still an emptiness inside. Caroline can't truly discuss Stefan with Elena because she's got to be careful what she says to Elena about the past. Stefan can't discuss Damon with Elena, in fact Elena's actions regarding wiping her memories of Damon are having a really negative impact on everyone else. On a positive note, I love Bamon and I want to have Kai's babies. 😍
