Killing Eve 1x05 FULL REACTION

My interpretation of the bus stop scene is that it represents the temptation of the taboo. Eve has lived her whole life within the confines of what society has expected of her and this investigation is her breaking out of that shell both professionally and personally and starting to make her own choices and not apologize for them. Breaking the glass is obviously "breaking the rules", it's something she knows she shouldn't do and that's what makes it so intriguing and this is her on some level coming to terms with that side of herself. Also her feelings for Villanelle are clearly something she knows is dangerous and maybe even "wrong" on some level but she can't help herself from persuing it just like she couldn't help herself from pushing on the crack in the glass, knowing full well it would break and might even hurt her (just like Villanelle). In that sense it's really telling that the glass doesn't just break when she accidentally applies too much pressure, but she has to decide to actively break it, to admit she WANTS to break it/the rules.

What's funny is that on my 2nd watching (during this reaction), I'm realizing how cute she is. First time viewing, I thought, "She's kinda cute...but much more creepy." Now, I see her as more appealing, but I still don't really root for her.

Basically, everyone is in love with Villanelle so yes... we're sort of overlooking the fact that she is a killer. I mean we are even rooting for her? xD Also it's really interesting to read the interviews from Sandra, Jodie (Villanelle) and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Showrunner) when you're over from watching the show. You were wondering what happened with Eve at the bus stop... Well Eve is changing because Villanelle is awakening things in Eve that she had overlooked, repressed or simply didn't know were there. Day by day, Eve is becoming more and more obsessed with Villanelle and she's herself changing in this pursuit.
