Arya allured the Waif there (she purposely left traces of blood) where she had the sword and the candle, so she could fight her in the dark and have the advantage, since she trained while she was blind

The Waif was definitely stronger than Arya. The only thing Arya had over the Waif, was the fact that she was blind and trained so she could fight without her vision. That's the only reason she beat her, by fighting her in the dark. Anyway, this is how I view that last scene: Jaqen serves the Many-faced God (as do all the faceless men). This God is the God of death, basically he wants the faceless men to kill in his name. THIS is what he trained Arya for, to become one of them and kill in the Many-faced God's name. Since the Waif didn't kill Arya, the God still needed a name (just like that time Jaqen drank the posion because Arya didn't kill who she should have) and so Arya gave the God the Waif instead of herself...so the Many-faced God still got his kill. Now I believe that everything we've seen Jaqen do has gone acording to his plan. In a way (even though Arya said that she's Arya and not "No one") she's still became No One. She fights like them, she's learned about using others faces (as we saw when she used a little girls face to kill Meryn Trant, aka the pedophile)....the Many-faced God doesn't care what "a girl" call herself, as long as she kills in his name (at least that's how I see it). So that's why Jaqen smiled, because he knows that Arya was always going to go back to westeros, and he knows that she will give their God many more deaths by doing so...basically a win win situation. I'm not 100% sure that this is what they intended, but this might give you Juli, something to reflect on :)

No matter what Tommen does, I can never hate him! I just feel bad for him, because he's constantly being manipulated by someone...and he has never learned how to stand his own ground. He just wants to be a fair king. Everything he said about trial by combat is true, the only negative is that it won't help Cersei...you can tell that he feels bad about, but he's probably been to that this is the best thing for everyone and ofc he'll believe anything.

Billieboi

Haha! I LOVE the way Dany comes in the room like, "WHAT the actual FUCK has been goin' on here?!?"

Thadman

There are, technically, two Baratheons left, if Tommen dies.

Thadman

I wonder if all Cersei's misfortune, as you say, is all her fault because of the disrespect she showed the witch as a child? Did the witch curse her OR did the witch simply just tell her future 'cause she could see that "this little bitch of a girl is gonna bring misfortune on herself and I'm just gonna sit back and laugh at her?"

Thadman

Technically Arya didn't cut the Waif's head off, just the face. Their rituals of bathing and anointing the body and skin helps preserve the skin for them to cut them off and use them again. But, there is some magical element to it also.

Thadman

I also just realized that the Waif said "the Many Faced God demands a name. I can't change that. NO ONE can." And No One did, because "finally, a girl is no one." She became no one, but she refused.

Thadman

She beat the other girl because she trained while she was blind, so she cut the candle and had the advantage in the dark
